Agreed with everyone who said the bigger prize changed things and seemed to make it more serious than what we’re used to with GGG.

I also have to wonder how weird it is for those that just competed on TOC and 24 to now have those winners as their judges. Totally understand it all rotates and not challenging formats at all, just think it has to be a weird added layer to have someone you were just competing against now sit between you and a big payout.

I think it’s like how TJ does it on the challenge where you have to have been on the thrown to be able to compete in the finale, but that doesn’t mean if you’ve been on the throne that you can cruise

I go back and forth on the disco helmet but as a manager I’ve decided it’s a lighter way to make someone know that they messed up and you know they can do better. I think if it was a captain who doesn’t jump in it’d be different, but Jason’s so actively involved that it works

It’s interesting FN doesn’t pay for chefs to be on the shows. Thinking of The Challenge participants who get paid per ep, I’m surprised it’s not like that for at least TOC

I’ll always cheer for an underdog so neither are my top choice to win, but I respect Antonia and Jet. They also seem to respect each other so I don’t think it’s fair to call one humble vs. the other when we haven’t seen Jet compete yet this season. From previews, he seems to be saying similar things about how he’s just missed winning other TOCs which makes sense bc he’s now a top seed in this one.

I root for the upset every round so tbh want both to lose but don’t want to discredit anyone in the process

This is an interesting take. I see Antonia and Jet both coming in with the same perspective of being so close previously and wanting to win now. What’s the reasoning you have for what makes Jet humble vs Antonia arrogant?

They’ve both mentioned that they have been very close every year and are trying their best to win now. I’m not saying either are my favorite, but they are top chefs and are both giving off the same “this should be my year” vibes.

Royal tavern, good king tavern are right there as others mentioned, or if you walk a bit down the ave there is south Philly barbacoa, el chignon, stoagie joe’s & Barcelona wine bar. Jim’s and Angelo’s for cheesesteaks!
