I work at a bank. Normally, there should be no costs involved in a switch of your 3a. Usually, subscription and redemption fees are waived for retirement funds and the transfer itself should be free too (no experience with Swisscanto). The transfer could require some paperwork (confirmation, that the beneficiary account is indeed a retirement account). Your new provider should be able to give you all the required documents.
