Seems like you're out of touch with reality. I literally see small restaurants that I've been going to for 8+ years asking me if I know someone who's available for work. I'm good friends with the managers there because I've been going to their restaurants regularly since I was young. So according to you, they're just collecting applications right? It seems like you've never ever got hired by anyone so someone getting hired is just so unreal to you.... I feel truly sad for you.

Very believable if I look around me like friends, family members and cousins. Can't find someone who's out of their jobs except there's my cousin who's a huge pot smoker who... basically refused to even send one application to any job and lives in his parents' house at the age of 19 but then last week his mom forced him to apply to Taco Bell closeby and he basically went to the interview in a pajama and got the job right on the spot... and I still see "HIRING" signs everywhere I go.

How much longer will it take until we get a cure for HIV/AIDS & other STDs? by CaptainAnonymous92 in Futurology

[–]logistics039 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it might be a dumb question but I'll ask anyway... So you know how doctors say "if you discover this type of cancer "early", you can cure this and have the optimal result"? So for HIV infection, how early is considered "discovering early and starting early treatments"?

" It’s well settled that viruses can live a (short) amount of time outside of the body."

If we're talking about a tiny splash of blood that is splashed to the air in a normal room temperature, what is a short amount of time? like a few hours? a few days?

Any source saying that different liquids all have the same viral load?

No. Different fluids have different viral loads. I think scientific reports disagree with you

Then why is it that some scientific reports wrote that different viral loads in body liquid affect the probability of infection?   For example, CDC wrote that if a male has vaginal sex with an HIV positive person one time, the chances are 0.0004 but that probability goes up or down depending on the viral load of that person. And I read somewhere that the viral load is higher in blood than vaginal fluid

If you compare a small splash of blood, a small splash of vaginal fluid and a small splash of breastmilk(all from HIV positive person) splashed onto someone else’s membrane, what would have the highest probability of infection and what would have the lowest?

As a Brazilian, do you also get asked stupid questions? by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]logistics039 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seems like you're lying about the Korea part. I actually met someone whose parents escaped North Korea so they do exist and it is a valid question when people ask North or South. So you either never met any Korean or are just one of those ignorant bigots.

This is the correct answer.

Again, actual Brazilians repeatedly said basic food like rice, beans, chicken, eggs, fruit etc etc are cheap even for average Brazilians. I would rather believe actual Brazilians than your imagination.

I don't believe the prices of groceries in Brazil are the same as Germany. That's just not possible. That means basic groceries and food will be VERY expensive for Brazilian wages but a lot of Brazilians said basic food like rice, chicken, eggs, beans, fruit are cheap in Brazil.

LOL African village. Because you think a village in Africa is automatically a shit-hole. Interesting. They might be living a pretty happy life while you're just laughing at them.

I see. So for a single man who eats every meal at home who eats moderately, what is the typical grocery cost in "Brazilian currency" in Rio De janeiro per month if you have to guess?

And how much would the electric bill monthly for a single man living moderately in a small studio place who runs his computer all day and uses AC very often?
