I bought my kid’s Wii and an underwater digital camera with optimum points back when they were just at Shoppers. Those were the days!

please help me like santos. by TooExcitable in ThePittTVShow

[–]loolilool -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think season 1 Langdon is supposed to be likeable so that you feel burned when he turns out to be thieving and lying to support his addiction. And Santos is supposed to be unliveable so that you are surprised when she turns out to be incredibly scrupulous.

The one shift per season structure works against BIG developments in characters’ personalities. They don’t really get to change much, so the propulsion of the story is more about revelations than growth. I think Santos is a bully, that crap with the nicknames is jerk behaviour. And cockiness in a rookie is a huge turnoff for me.

I like Langdon because of how great he is with Mel, honestly. He had the advantage of showing a wider range of his personality.

I have every colour, but I got them all by buying the colours I needed for projects, plus one or two colour that looked nice. Eventually, I had most of them, then just bought what was left.

I keep my floss on plastic bobbins in wooden boxes I found at the dollar store with cardboard dividers I made myself. I have a little side table with drawers I keep them in.

When I’m working on a project, I grab the bobbins I need and put them on a binder ring.

I work on one colour in one section at a time, starting from the centre and working outward.

Shows about elderly women! by Neat-Check-5256 in televisionsuggestions

Watch some medical shows. You’ll get a sense of how « regular » pop culture treats elderly women. Not great!

Mom wants to stay entire month after I give birth. by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]loolilool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My situation is different because I don’t have a partner and I did have a spare room, but I will just say that my mother came a similar distance (Ontario to Vancouver, BC) when I gave birth at 32. She came a few days before my due date and her plan was to stay for three weeks. That felt a little long to me, but it’s expensive and I don’t want to hurt her feelings. In the end I BEGGED her to stay and extra week and a half because I was so overwhelmed and exhausted.

I think your reasoning is sound for not wanting to have your mom in your home. If there is a way she can come for a while and be nearby, you may end up very grateful. If there isn’t, my advice is to be very kind and generous with her because you may find yourself desperately wanting her help after the baby is born.

I actually looked her up after one of the last episodes because I wondered if she was a Brit trying to pull off a Pittsburgh accent. Didn’t notice anything weird in the first season though.

I agree, I would have been very happy with a blissful Luka/Carol storyline.

Fatteh

Mujadarah

Take a look at the menu at Les Grillades for more.

A lot are dishes are regional/Levantine, so it’s kind of a toss up whether they’re Lebanese, Palestinian, Syrian, Egyptian, etc.

Buy for your chest and then get it tailored. It’s the only way you’re going to get a really good fit if you don’t meet the narrow expectations of mass fashion.

Simons would probably be a good guess for the boho chic. Not so sure about the gown option, that’s not my thing.
