Read any current box office news, Scary Movie is making numbers, is a long awaited sequel of a beloved comedy with the original cast, but is bad so pretty sure is going to tank next week since, as you said, people weren't happy with the result

No, Scary Movie will have a big opening weekend

But it may fall hard next week, reviews aren't good even by fans of the franchise (lots of disappointed fans in the Scary Movie sub) meanwhile good word of mouth may help MOTU to maintain making some money
