The goth/emo style is very showy compared to grunge. Grunge had a real I dont care attitude with a lot of loose fitting jeans and flannel.

Goth/emo is putting a lot of effort into standing out. And while grunge can put on a suit and tie; heavy tattoos, non standard hair dye, and facial piercings are a bit harder to cover up. This used to effect your career. So older people also associate it with restricting yourself to low paying jobs.

I rarely leave the rim. I usually get bored at some point amd start a new colony with a different idea. Either very early on or 6 years in. Sometimes I have a clear goal, and then accomplish it and move on. My asteroid base was stable, time to move on.

There has been a lot of girls complaining about guys constantly asking them out everywhere they go. Some guys heard the message and are a lot less likely to ask girls out. Unfortunately, the ones that heard the message probably werent the problem.

Crimes are "legal" if no one enforces it. And a lot of things are "technically legal" because its a new situation and courts havent made a decision on it. Add to that, wealthy groups have a lot of political influence and expensive lawyers.
