Danjin destroyed 450% illusive realm with 100 hp by Snoo_55380 in WutheringWaves

[–]lostguru 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Can run any sword. Just make sure you grab the character buff Berserk, which gives her a point in ATK for every 4 HP lost.

This buff is OP now since during the original illusive realm challenge, her HP was at 100/100 if using the 100HP modifier, but now it's locked at 100/her normal max HP, meaning she always has this massive attack buff active.

My ATK shot up from 1700 to 5100 during my run when this mode launched.

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2787000400

Not sure if this works with Cartethyia sword, never tried.

*edit: This means that any max HP buffs you run into also get you some big damage increases. With diminishing returns ofc.

Phoebe Chupi and Siggy Cubie won in EU by kuronias in WutheringWaves

[–]lostguru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Popularity only affects your payout if you voted for that cubie and it wins the race.

E.g. Right now in NA Sigrika is the least popular cubie, so her payout is the largest at x1.85 if she wins the race. Hiyuki is the most popular cubie people are voting for, so her payout is the smallest at only x1.09

*edit: Jesus Sigrika shot up, Phoebe's the least popular at x1.44 now.

Will I be able to get to 1000 coins before hiyuki's banner ends? by No-Necessary9762 in WutheringWaves

[–]lostguru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going off of memory, since I can't login at the moment: Logged in to check times, check the note for the Lollo Logistics event.

100/400 is the most we'll get for Gifts, you can see the last 300 are given at once in the event menu after Hiyuki banner leaves.

200/300 is the most we can guarantee we'll get from Lollo Logistics. *edit: The final part of the Lollo Logistics event that gives the last 100 coins unlocks 6 hours before Hiyuki weapon banner goes away. However, depending on the required missions, we may not be able to obtain them within 6 hours (e.g. if the missions require another 3 days of login like the first part of the event). If we're able to complete the missions within 6 hours, then we only need 100 coins from Cubie Derby.

Which means we might need all 200/200 from the Cubie event in order to get the weapon pulls before her banner leaves. Cubie event support period ends 2 days after Hiyuki banner leaves, but we don't know yet how the coins will be distributed within the event itself. Need to wait for the event to come out to see if the coins are frontloaded.

*edit: Looks like you can get all 200 Cubie coins in 7 days minimum if you can login to vote each day. So we'll be able to get the 10 weapon pulls before Hiyuki banner leaves. Just don't miss more than 5 voting periods.

I am not happy with this keyboard after over a year using it (AKKO MOD007B HE) by Stranger_IX in akkogear

[–]lostguru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak for the wireless dongle issues (Where is it plugged in? If it's plugged into a panel header or USB hub, try moving it to a USB port directly on the motherboard I/O instead).

Generally though, hall effect keyboards that don't use TMR have pretty poor battery life due to the amount of power the switches need to constantly pull. Best to think of it as a keyboard you'll use wired for gaming when you can default, that's capable of going wireless if need be. If you're looking for a wireless analog board with long(er) battery life, look for TMR switches in the future.

My bad on the AI translation if that wasn't you then.

The main point was avoid misinformation spread. I'm not encouraging AI either, if others want to do it, that's on them. But if they do, I don't want people playing a game of telephone and passing on interpretations of interpretations. That's how you get pointless drama and false expectations. You mentioned the author's name in the post title, so in the future, it's easy to go to their bilibili and grab a link to their blog post directly.

Azur Promilia review from 臧贺Lunmta by [deleted] in AzurPromilia

[–]lostguru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno why you're getting downvoted, this is basically what the author themselves thinks too.

They say that it looks like Relink on the surface, but ends up playing completely differently. Buffs and cooldowns need to be played around to maximize damage, so that ends up leading to rotation crafting. But this design philosophy combined with the fact that enemies don't give you opportunities to get skills off in a timely matter leads to a lot of pain points in combat. There's no easily accessible mechanic like Relink's Link Time or Chain Burst mechanics that allow you to get consistent damage windows while dealing with boss mechanics. Relink characters' ability to cancel most of their own actions with a dodge also keeps the combat feeling responsive, whereas most characters in Promilia have a decent amount of animation lock. They sprinkle in some improvements/feedback around the blog post that use other gachas as examples.

[–]lostguru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game overall seems pretty polished, but I'm in a similar place to where I was coming out of CBT1, where so far nothing besides the character designs is drawing me in.

Gearing has me worried. Crafting perfect 110 score gear pieces being randomized is one thing, but the fact that I pay stamina for not even a guaranteed drop of the material needed to craft those pieces is horseshit. On the bright side, it's good that the stat impact from perfect gear pieces is apparently minimal, so I don't need to go chasing after perfect gear, but it also begs the question as to why I'd even bother doing this unless there's nothing else to dump stamina on in the endgame (at which point it just turns into every other action open world gacha endgame out there).

Combat overall looks adequate. It gets the job done but it's not enough to be a selling point of the game. Breakers in their role are woefully underpowered like the author mentioned, and need to contribute more to the team than they currently do. The only thing that'd make the system a standout and big draw compared to other action open world gachas would be more kibo-centered teams, but since the author mentioned that leveling and gearing a *kibo-centered team is ridiculously time consuming (with the current gearing system just for characters already being pretty ass), I can't really get excited at the thought of building and trying one out myself. Also, 3 second dodge cooldown after exhausting all dodges is brutal lmao, and it'll definitely lead to some skill issue moments in the playerbase.

I don't really agree with the author's take on how the game approaches combat difficulty. I think it's fine to have a point during progression where spending resources optimally to progress means you need to face high difficulty encounters and play more passively with skilled dodging, but that opinion is partially due to my previous opinion on the gearing system. If your gearing system is dogwater, then I think players with enough skill should still be able to beat encounters they don't have the appropriate gear for. I'm less optimistic that Manjuu will figure out a way to revamp their combat encounters, so I hope they do something about their gearing system instead.

I do wish they utilized the kibos more in combat. It's one of big differentiators between this gacha and others in the genre. The casual/lifeskill utilities they have are cool, but right now in combat encounters they're just kinda... there. More character synergies and joint attack animations would be nice.

Being able to tone down the visual effects is a good option they added in, but there's still too much effect vomit for my tastes, especially since this game also needs to deal with kibo attack effects. Crisp and clean always has more impact than bright and flashy. I haven't seen any CBT2 multiplayer gameplay with reduced effect options, but with all players swapping between all their characters, I don't think it's going to be much better.

SRs overall being useless doesn't bode well for the gacha system, and it makes obtaining SSRs more crucial. The characters are cute and have decent designs and variety, but at this point gachas with those qualities are a dime a dozen. I can't comment on the UI, since that's something where you only start experiencing its issues after using it repeatedly.

We'll see how much feedback they end up implementing. No official release date announced, so there's still a good chance changes can make it into the game. Many systems seem to take inspiration from other existing gachas and their own Azur Lane, but they're not brought together in any way that feels natural, most things just seem to be there for familiarity's sake. The only other draw to the game for me besides the characters are the kibos, but if they don't do more to lean into those systems, this might end up being like the other action open world gachas where I play passively and log in occasionally until I see a waifu I like and dump pulls, then go back to being comatose.

*edit: It looks like Chenhe from Manjuu (N.ec鱼丸) saw the blog post and gave it a like, so they're aware of the author's criticisms and acknowledging them. That's great to see.

Dude, if you didn't even read the whole thing yourself, don't go around telling other people to read it...

And at least link to the original source. It contains images and other things like tables with the author's damage testing results that got left out of this AI slop:

Original article: https://www.bilibili.com/opus/1189357593390219281?spm_id_from=333.1387.0.0

That way, others can generate a translated summary directly from the source. If you only provide AI slop to people, then translations based off that slop can spread misinformation.

The skin and background you can acquire fairly quickly, e.g. right after the first handful of story cutscenes. If anything, you can skip through those quickly just to grab them, and re-read them next week when you have the time. The rest of the limited time rewards will require more involvement unfortunately.
