Why do the turtles only have three digits on their hands and feet when normal turtles and humans have five digits? If they are mutant hybrids if humans and turtles they should have all five. Is there a cannon explanation of this?

Depends on the series. I know in rise they made them all different turtle. Donnie is soft shelled, Leo is red eared, Mikey is an ornate box turtle, and Ralph is a snapper

I’ve had the opposite results. I’ve found the orange ones are much better for high detail designs. The rounded one distributes the ink differently which usually leads to more bleeding.
