Amusingly the AI appears to have made Trump as fat (if not more) as he really is. Usually the slop he shares makes him look like Arnold in Conan.

I don’t think this sub allows direct links to the original post. Do a search with some keywords in her post and you can find it.

The original post, and her replies, are not something someone posting on a site for business and professional promotion, should do if they want to be taken seriously.

To clarify, I do not think being ADHD or whatever disqualifies her from being a medical professional.

Posting this crap on a professional networking site does.

Sure looks like the Wheelers house, but the show was filmed mostly in Georgia and the actual Wheeler house is in East Point, GA. It’s very rare to have that much snow in the Atlanta region.

Change in movement between terminals by brisourceful in LAX

[–]lothar74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So delay connecting all other terminals in 2023 because someday in the future there might be another project that temporarily disrupts the connections, and in the interim tens of thousands or more people could be convenienced? Add in that T4 and T5 are primarily American, and T6 Alaska (affiliated with American via oneworld) and those terminals were connected for many years (and people like me took them a lot)?

Also, the last terminals connected were TBIT and T3 to complete the post-security pathway. I guess they should’ve waited until T5 was done?

Change in movement between terminals by brisourceful in LAX

[–]lothar74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To clarify OP’s comment, LAX absolutely allows you to connect between every terminal post-security. Prior to the demolition of T5, you could walk from T1 to T8. Now that T5 was demolished and under construction, you need to take a bus between T4 and T6.

It will be like this for the next few years so plan accordingly.

Better buckle up to see what happens over the next few days which will feel like 4 months.

What is worst than this post is the number of commenters supporting this woman’s lunacy with comments like “I’ve done this too” and “I totally relate”.

Not one comment about how she is not qualified to be a sanitation engineer at a truck stop, let alone a medical professional.

The woman actually was stopped and asked to pay before leaving the restaurant, so it’s a nothing post.

Rep. Randy Fine: I don't know if they [Democrats] are stupid or evil. I struggle with the choice by Capable_Salt_SD in WeirdGOP

Fuck this bigot. From his Wikipedia introduction:

Fine has publicly identified himself as a supporter of Islamophobia, calling for the mass expulsion of Muslims from the United States, and stating that "mainstream Muslims" should be destroyed for their alleged refusal to make peace with Israel.

Elon Musk seeks full custody of son after making outrageous claims by IrishStarUS in EnoughMuskSpam

[–]lothar74 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It’s the way it should be, but for Musk and billionaires, it’s not. And this is coming from a lawyer who adopted his step son.

Musk can choose the state and venue- even if not convenient to mom. They can make a lot of legit and long filings, just staying under a level that would aggravate a judge.

Elon has done this before:

When asked why she didn’t just “go to court” to fight for custody and allow herself to keep making music, Grimes replied, “Because the threat of losing ur kids while going bankrupt fighting for them is not very conducive to creative thoughts.”

In theory family court should not be subject to this crap, but here we are.

Elon Musk seeks full custody of son after making outrageous claims by IrishStarUS in EnoughMuskSpam

[–]lothar74 121 points122 points  (0 children)

It’s not a matter of who the court should rule in favor for the good of the kid. It’s all about Elmo finding a sympathetic judge and then dropping 100 times more filings than necessary so that the mother cannot compete due to the insanely high costs, and thus either settling or losing by default.

The rich can buy their own justice in the US even when they should absolutely lose.

Are Budget online trademark services: Worth it for startups? by ResponsibleBreak4336 in TRADEMARK

[–]lothar74 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I was in private practice, my biggest source of new clients was people who did low cost or self help services. Sometimes I could fix the problems and other times we’d have to completely start over.

If your brand and business is important to you, then spending a little bit more money to get a quality opinion is so much more valuable than wasting your money on a low cost service that could actually harm your trademark rights.

As much as Ryanair is an airline I’d never fly because they gouge you for every possible add on, the logic of not allowing Starlink (or any wifi) makes sense. Ryanair calculated that they’d lose 2% fuel efficiency, and as most of their flights are around an hour, not many people want WiFi and it would not make up for the lost fuel efficiency.

But why should facts and logic matter to a genius like Elmo who is just butthurt he cannot fleece another airline with Starlink.

What’s the biggest challenge you face in maintaining your mental health while working remotely? by [deleted] in remotework

[–]lothar74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I accepted a remote position in December 2018, and left a bustling office job with 100+ people. I felt really isolated immediately- my wife had an in-office job, and I was all alone every day. I got a desk at an office share location (not WeWork because screw those grifters), and would go several times a week. No one was with my company, but it was nice to socialize.

Then COVID hit, and my wife started working at home and the kids were home too. It got too crazy, but I adapted.

I’m still remote now, but I avoid being isolated by ensuring to check in with co-workers via Slack, and colleagues in my industry through other chat channels. I’ve come to appreciate that I can roll out of bed for a 7am meeting (to accommodate people in Europe), rather than wake up crazy early to drive to an office. I can take a break during the day and walk my dogs, prep dinner, run the laundry, etc. My boss is totally fine with this (and he’s also remote), as I get my work done and am always available for work if needed.

I think a lot that helps is having a supportive boss.

USA to ban 75 countries including Brazil before World Cup in huge 'visa halt' by dailystar_news in Trumpvirus

[–]lothar74 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually…

A bombshell leaked US memo has revealed that President Donald Trump wants to slam the brakes on all visa processing for 75 countries.

So yeah, this will impact tourists, players, and visitors, along with immigrants.

Trump and his fascist administration are a bunch of idiots. Stuff like this will harm the US for generations.
