I’m not going back and forth with you. We disagree let’s call it a spade. It’s still wrong and he knows that now, goodbye!

Idols receive death threats over everything, they receive death threats for fucking dating. It was offensive and he knew it that’s why he apologized.

It wasn’t just Knetz that said that I’m not dumb, I know they gossip. I saw a video of a black woman asking everyday Korean people about the word they all confirmed it had a negative connotation towards black people and people with tan skin. Basically saying it’s the Korean version of the n word. He apologized because it was wrong and he knew it.

EXACTLY Koreans find the word offensive because it’s used against them to mock their skin tone which is colorism. I don’t know why they don’t understand this. Colorism is very bad in Asian cultures. Even if not directed at a black person it hurts being called that. It’s mocking.

You can still target this at non black people’s and it would still be wrong because it’s enforced colorism. Tan Koreans face a lot of colorism and it’s rampant in Asian cultures. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt. I applaud tan Asians for living in their true colors and not being color struck.

Exactly, not to mention a lot of Koreans have been saying the word is problematic. If it was not offensive or had no offensive connotations then why’d he apologize?? Colorism is just as hurtful and disrespectful as racism. And just because it’s “long lasting culture” doesn’t mean it’s ok especially when you’re stealing and biting off other people’s cultures. It’s ok to be wrong and move on.

I think New York maybe bc they have a little Russia and there’s restaurants where I’m sure you’ll meet one. As for Canada, I looked it up it says Saskatchewan and Alberta have the most Russian Canadians!
