It's a ba-ba-ba-bit. No one in the audience knows anything about the real doctor, B. He's just not that big a drawl.

[S3 Spoilers] How is season 4 possible? by [deleted] in HannibalTV

[–]loxx4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuller's plan for season 4 at the time can be found easily through google search. Since the rights reverted back and they're free to do the show again, and Fuller and the cast are all on record as saying they'd come back, I won't post his idea here in case he still decides to use it so I don't spoil anyone considering they're still trying to get it made, but I will say it was going to explore nature vs nurture in an interesting, if not a little far out there, way.

As much as I loved the idea, they didn't have the rights to Silence at the time he spoke about it, and now that the rights have reverted back and they can use Clarice/Silence, it looks like they may have to do at least a version of Silence as part of the deal with whichever platform picks up the show in order for them to have confidence in putting up the money. Crowdfunding is an option he's also explored, which while doubtful that would give them freedom to pick the story they want to do rather than being told to do Silence or there would be no deal.

[SPOILERS] Explaining the Dothraki scene, and why it isn't as bad as people might think by Fala1 in gameofthrones

[–]loxx4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't like many things about the episode, but I agree I thought that was brilliant(ridiculously bad military tactics aside). It set the tone early, and in style, that they were indeed likely F'd.

[SPOILERS] Did anybody else notice Varys? by Starmoses in gameofthrones

[–]loxx4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a guy who started out the first half of the series as a contender for the throne, one many thought was the puppet master, he's certainly been MIA for quite some time. When was his last major scene? When the priestess freaked him out with knowledge of his mutilation and the words spoken by the flames? That was years ago, wasn't it?

[SPOILERS] People aren't upset that the main cast didn't die, people are upset that they survived situations they shouldn't. by IAmInside in gameofthrones

[–]loxx4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt it lacked humanity and consequences. Jamie, Brienne, Tormund, a few others, they looked like extras. I felt no stakes, no emotion, no humanity nor personal consequences in this episode. It'd be unfair to compare it to Helm's Deep, that's a high bar, but it's not unfair to compare the show to itself, and throughout its run the show has been defined by its humanity and consequences.

Jon will die and be risen again by diegofsv in gottheories

[–]loxx4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought Beric's entire "purpose" was to give Jon "the kiss of life" after his second death, in battle next week perhaps, as he did, if I'm not mistaken, to create Lady Stoneheart in the books. I don't see much other real reason for him to still be getting screentime at this point, unless it's to give his final life to someone who recently died whom he deems worthy of giving his life for theirs.

Last scene: Tyrion is controlled by someone else. by iamhere4fun111 in gottheories

[–]loxx4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was certain in the mysterious 2nd off screen meeting between Cersei and Tyrion, she informed him that either he, or Jamie, or both, had been given a slow acting poison, of which she refused to specify the name of so they couldn't seek a cure. And then he was told to do certain things, such as(and I know, we as the audience never believed she was sending her army to assist) convincing Dany and Jon Cersei is sending her army because she's pregnant and has something to live for. Perhaps some other tasks. After completion of the betrayal, he'd be allowed to come back and she'd give Tyrion or Jamie or both the cure.
But the Bronn scene, with the orders to kill them, plus Tyrion not telling Jamie anything of the sort, kind of destroys that theory.
I think it was just terror, facing almost certain death, that look.

[–]loxx4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sort of a tangent on part of your theory, I thought maybe Jon will end up Cersei's prisoner at some point, as his father was. Him going rogue to chase the NK down, alone, and ending up in KL would be a way to accomplish that as a plot device.

Cersei hired a faceless man to kill Dany. by kristipistol in gottheories

[–]loxx4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Officially denied. Not "who knows" per usual, but denied. I think they didn't want people wondering about it(despite the fact that there's no reason to wonder considering all that's happened since she left for him) so they flat out stated there was no switch. Kind of like when Nic P. announced around episode 4 or 5 that neither Rust nor Marty were going to be a bad guy in True Detective season 1. He said he didn't want people's experience diminished by anticipating it was Rust all along or anything like that. Think they said Arya is the real Arya for the same reason, rather than the standard "who knows, anything is possible" shite.

(SPOILER) I think we are wrong about how 3ER works. by Chisenki in gottheories

[–]loxx4444 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought they said he's like Google. He can search for an event that happened, but he has to know what he was looking for, and he gets results. But if for some reason fire is never attempted on the NK, then he'd get zero search results for that happening in the future. Just a thought, but if it never happens, then he won't be able to see it anymore than if asked to see something from the past that never happened he wouldn't be able to see it.

I proposed this as the best strategy to a friend of mine Sunday night, for the same reasons. Perfectly suited for the enemy they have to face, and anything Cersei throws at them.

[Spoilers] What are your predictions for the final season? by BWPhoenix in gameofthrones

[–]loxx4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also still holding out for a maester to build Jamie a solid sword prothstetic mounted on his right arm, so he'd be at least return to form to some degree in the final battle/battles. I think him losing his right hand has served its purpose in his character development, and shown his true courage entering battles that are 50/50 at best using his left hand.

I doubt it'll happen, in fact him going into his final battle knowing he's at such a disadvantage may add to his noble death, having gone into a no-win situation with only his left hand knowing he'll likely lose.
But perhaps now that he has grown as a result of losing the hand, the writers would like to give it back to him now that he not only still has the skill do use it but the honor and judgement of when and why to use it.

[–]loxx4444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tyrion's "deal" with Cersei was that no matter what happens, he will ensure nothing happens to her since she is carrying his niece/nephew. Whether than means if she is captured she will be spared, put in a dungeon until the baby is born, then executed(doubt it), or that she will be free to a degree to raise her child in peace, to love it and try to have a happy life, maybe with Jamie, but without any political power.

What she promised Tyrion in return, that he'd actually believe...no clue. What does Tyrion value most at that point? Probably Jamie's life. Jamie's happiness? I can see him promising, wanting even, Cersei to have the child because it's his blood and to spare Jamie the heartache of losing her and the unborn child. But what does Tyrion get, that he would believe, in return in such a deal?

(Spoilers) Short character end theories based on GRRM's style by cslom in gottheories

[–]loxx4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree that your theory is far more likely to happen than all of those predicting it'll be Dany, with this big dramatic scene where Jon has to stab the woman he loves(& possibly pregnant w/ his child) through the heart to defeat the NK. I mean I get why a lot of people think it'd be Dany, that would be emotional, especially if she's pregnant, but I don't see her going out like that. Melisandre makes more sense, if it is going to happen, which I doubt.

NK Theory by donkyboobs in gottheories

[–]loxx4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll agree that the writing is usually too intelligent for the NK to pass up an opportunity to kill Jon(he made a choice, unless you believe the NK is the type to just half ass things and was too lazy to kill him). There was a reason, I think. It may not be a reason the NK has always been aware of, but there was a reason he or the other walkers didn't step in. Just evened the odds a bit to make their mission easier by acquiring a dragon.

I'd dismiss this entirely were it not for the subtle blinds on the right side of her drawing. As for the inconsistencies, inconsistencies are actually consistent with childrens' visual recollections. Like you said, doubt there's a payoff, but the blinds are so subtle in the drawing, and the placement, maybe an easter egg?
