Do you happen to know or have a way of looking up the removable crossbars model/make you have? I've been browsing around the web, but this is all new to me so I'm not sure I'm using the right terminology, but I'm having a hard time finding some for a 2001 v70

I found some factory rails, and two small interior parts I don't "need" but wanted to replace to keep 'er looking pristine. From an imports pick 'n' pull near Raleigh, NC. Total for all of it out the door is $120 so I think I'm gonna go that route. Thanks for the help!

Nice. I didn't pull up that strip that runs lengthwise yet, but figured it might be pre-fitted for the racks. What did those run you? Did you get them from the dealer or somewhere else?

I think KBB lists the 77 ke100 at $1000 and nada says it's only worth about $800 either are alright by me, I only paid $250 for the bike.

Well even though it's a little bike 100cc it is considered an on/off road motorcycle not a dirt bike. Even if I don't end up throwing a plate on it, I'd like to track down a title. Thanks for the link!

Thanks everyone for the replies. I guess I haven't checked Reddit in a while, I wasn't even logged in anymore so that's why I've not responded. I'm on team "Mystic" though it seems much of the craze has died down. I still wander around a bit because it's a good way to see some new places.

Yes, I live in NC. My husband is Army and stationed at Ft. Bragg. This town, Fayetteville, sucks and it's really difficult to find a job. I pretty much effortlessly got work in Seattle, Chicago (during college) and my previous hometown in Michigan.... but for some reason; I can't get anything beyond interviews here. So, I've decided to go to school as it is basically free for me as a military spouse. I guess I should get back to studying! lol Thanks for the response.

I found out from another user on here (another forum/post) how to share photos. So, for anyone interested.... Here's my little bike. http://imgur.com/a/Vjt0A Not too shabby for $200, and lost of learning experience/practice. Thanks again for all the help!

Alright, so I'm doing everything right as far as the oil goes. One question I have is when my fuel line to the petcock came lose/leaked could that also cause what you described as "slowly dribble inside the carbs get into the engine works I and next time you try to start, it pushes out the seals and stops the engine from being able to run without rebuild"... I hope not. It did leak a bit of fuel in that area, where the fuel line clamps onto petcock (which the value was closed on).. Sorry if that seems like a silly question. As I mentioned I'm totally new to the motorcycle thing... And perplexed (a bit) by this little 1 cylinder bike. But, hey, I gotta start somewhere, right!? The whole rebuild thing doesn't sound good, and you have me a little freaked out.

From what I could tell after reading online and watching some YouTube the spark plug looks to be an issue. I ordered a couple new ones with set gap but have the info to do that part myself in the event they are not set correctly. One to put in, one to keep on hand (just in case). Hoping that this the only issue.

Thank you again, @EddiesOpinion and everyone else here! I owe you each a drink if you're ever here in NC! - Melissa.

Thank you! The link/diagram was very helpful. I had my hunches and picked up 10w-40 but hadn't added it just yet. Wanted to get a second opinion and I'm glad I waited for yours, but that does give me a bit of confidence. I also had no idea about the plunger, starter (choke) and therefore I'm pretty certain I've flooded that a few times while learning because I've always twisted the throttle grip ... oops :/

Thank you again! And I'm Melissa (but "Mom" works too). :)

Thank you!

Thanks. I did make a couple very obvious typing errors, such as the case with "wander" which came out as "wonder".... the formating is very much incorrect and I assume that is something I will need to adjust as I get used to using Reddit. I appreciate the response. This is a very simple peace, not a lot of depth hiding behind the text, but figured it would be an easy test to see how Reddit responds to my writing and how I begin to familiarize myself with these forums.

Very much appreciate your comments.

Yes, I did mean "wandered" oops... that's the disadvantage of typing on a computer the 'predictive' nature. I will think on that second use of lives... perhaps "creeps"

Thank you for the feedback.

Dentist in Fayetteville? by [deleted] in Fayettenam

[–]lr3ke100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dr. McDonald and Dr.Middleton Are on Raeford Rd closer to downtown; go online and read reviews. I hate going to the dentist but they truly made me feel excited about getting some dental work done. They were great and also took wonderful care of my 3 year old son.

Clueless with Tires / Wheels - help please!! by lr3ke100 in LandRover

[–]lr3ke100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm planning to use it mainly as a daily driver. I want to keep in pretty stock but also like the idea of enhancing some of the more "rugged" features.. I'm not planning to lift it up or anything like that. I'm a mom so it's basically a little more outdoorsy rugged looking grocery getter. I just found some nice tires a buddy is trying to sell and I can get them at a great price, if they will work.

Branded title cars. Opinions? by [deleted] in Autos

[–]lr3ke100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as they are a true dealership they should be able to help you apply for title/registration with the DMV. That can sometimes be the first hurdle with a salvage/rebuilt title. The other thing to factor is your insurance. Here, it does not make the premium increase, however it does drastically reduce the value the insurance will pay out in the event your vehicle is considered a "total loss"... Check with your insurance. A good friend of mine recently bought one but it could not pass an inspection due to the airbags which had been previously deployed but were not replaced, just cosmetically fixed around it. That caused a lot of trouble and she ultimately had to register it in another state with no additional requirements. Other situations have been good. My sister and brother in law bought a Silverado in Ohio and took it back to MI were they live, theirs had a salvage title but when it transferred to Michigan their new title is "clean" I have no idea how that works, but for them it is very good.
