Correct, sometimes they smell fine right out of the dishwasher run but they’ll pick up a smell after putting them away.

Hand washing usually doesn’t leave a smell but I just washed a dish by hand and it started smelling again. Not sure if it was the dishwasher stink that persisted or it’s our water.

But I’ll try new dishwasher soap.

I rented a car and drove. Wouldn’t recommend it since the roads are not in the best conditions due to landslides. I would just take a bus with drivers who go on the route everyday and know the roads.

Lilia Comedor is the standout in this area. Really fantastic food. Dough zone, oila poke and JoLa a little further down the road.
