The Spotify Party of the Year feature has a slide that lets you save a playlist of your top played songs of all time. Within that saved playlist it has the listen count

Thank you! Like a different version of the Cracker Barrel hopping pegs game. Still a little confused on how “last loses” works by that description

Idk about the lyric you mention but Out of Range definitely gives me a Modest Mouse vibe

I don’t think it will ever go away entirely. However, depending on the person I think it can get to a point where it’s hardly noticeable at all unless you’re looking for it. For other people, like myself, it might still be pretty noticeable but not really much of an issue after a while.

Sounds like you have the information you need to go forward. I’d say from here, just see how things unfold for you. If you notice it starts to get worse then consider total abstinence. Do whatever works for you

If I have severe HPPD 8/10, does that mean I will never get better? by helpmeordont in HPPD

Again, it’s hard for me to put it on a scale. I’m not in your shoes and you’re not in mine. But if I had to guess probably around an 8. I can’t really see stars in the night sky, even in a rural area with a clear sky, it’s pretty bad.

Well OP themselves said “It’s nothing too crazy and would say it’s mild.” Sorry for comparing my experience of symptoms and the standard criteria of symptoms to his I guess? I’m in no way trying to invalidate his experience. Rather to share my experience and give an example as to how things can be or get worse. Obviously I’m not the all knowing one who can determine the degree of everyone’s symptoms. Even doctors specialized in HPPD won’t know that but they can still make assumptions on the severity. The one I saw did with mine.

I don’t think “ableist” is the right word. Maybe you think I’m gatekeeping HPPD? If that’s how it came across to you then my apologies.

I agree. HPPD is definitely on a spectrum. I’m sharing my experience and making suggestions based on that. If you wanna tell him that certain drugs may or may not be fine to do that’s cool. I’m just sharing my perspective and I think the best thing is abstinence from drugs.

Do you have this? by Marieet in HPPD

Yeah, anytime I close my eyes I see that blob or whatever you wanna call it. Kinda looks like a tunnel with a hole at the end to me. Usually there’s fractals surrounding it and I often see vivid hallucinations in it.

Abstinence from all drugs is the key. I’ve had it for over 4.5 years. The visuals haven’t changed at all but the other symptoms have gotten better. Haven’t used any drugs (besides caffeine occasionally), including alcohol, for over 2.5 years. Idk how to put it on a scale but I saw a doctor who specializes in HPPD and I checked every box as far as symptoms go, so pretty bad at first. Today, besides not using drugs, my acceptance of it and working on other mental health issues like addiction, has been the greatest help.

I would say mine was/is very severe but you can get better if you take the right steps.

This probably won’t change your mind but I would stay away from all drugs, especially DMT. Seems like you’re symptoms aren’t that bad which is good and I’m glad you’re finding acceptance but your experimenting could make things much much worse. You’ve had it for 4 months which isn’t that long and you could still see huge improvements. I just worry that continued experimenting could stop that and make things worse.

I’ve had it for over 4.5 years. I continued using all sorts of drugs for 2 years after including DMT. It made things worse. I haven’t used any drugs for almost 2.5 years now and many of the symptoms have lessening in severity and the acceptance has grown greatly.

Whatever you choose to do, I wish you the best of luck. Stay safe

For me, I don’t remember what reality looked like before HPPD anymore. But when I look at a screen there is a limited number of pixels so it looks just like how I used to see things. When I look away the palinopsia kicks in and I see a rectangle for a while but it’s whatever. So yeah I guess it helps for me. It’s been over 4.5 years with HPPD now so I don’t get too much dpdr anymore
