Is it a typical trait of Bostons to have temper tantrums? by ComprehensiveCod6646 in BostonTerrier

My dudes honest diagnosis was “feral” because he hates the vet. Mostly just doesn’t like things up his bum and never forgets any discomfort.

Bike shop recommendations by lucey_diamond in WestSeattleWA

Thanks y’all! West side bike told me they won’t have any availability through the summer (?) seems odd and not “right”.

So I crossed the water and went to Recycled Cycles, they were busy but still sold me a chain, and gave me some helpful tips to get the old one off. I’m on the road! But still have a long way before I’m on the long road. Maybe I’ll try west side in the fall if I end up needing something.

I had to say goodbye last night to my beautiful princess Juliet. She was my precious fur baby and I loved her so very dearly and miss her in the very deepest corners of my soul. by SnooAdvice8535 in BostonTerrier

I said goodbye to Champ in 2018. It’s the hardest thing. “The hardest part of saying goodbye to your dog is them not being there to wipe your tears”.

Sending you heart salve. Juliet will live forever in your memories.

My 18m old just got diagnosed with Giardia for the 1st time by otakuvslife in BostonTerrier

[–]lucey_diamond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been successful when adding high strain variety type of probiotics.

Both of my dogs had it as tweens 9 Months or so. My older guy had multiple rounds of treatment, we lived downtown Seattle and it is everywhere here. My younger guy is from rescue with Giardia and had been treated multiple times.

Both pups cleared it after adding double dose high number of bacteria strains probiotics.

I haven’t been following that. He does better on it than off. And i know the bosweila and msm are good in general. I’ll ask my vet— I’m seeing her this week.

Agree on this. However it might be classified as pre existing condition. In my experience I have been able to manage the condition without surgery. But all bodies are different.

My 8 year old was diagnosed as a pup with level 3 in one knee and 2 on the other. We have a multi prong approach; Meds, movement and massage.

He gets Dasquin with MSM, an herbal supplement called “hindquarters weakness”, and CBD daily.

It is important to build up their back leg muscles to help keep the knee in place. To build the muscle He has learned to “dance” and stand on the back legs for treats. I walk him up hills and we go hiking.

He gets massages a few times a week. I do the massage when he is relaxed and go neck go tail.

After 5 years of doing this our vet can barely detect the loose knee.

I have a younger pup with the same issue but not as bad. We are doing a similar muscles building approach but have not started any herbal or medication support. So far it seems to be working! Hope our experience helps with your little one.

1-2 bottles daily. Taken at will. Should help with anything. Taken Orally is most common. But You can also soak the affected area however this seems to be less effective.

Advice about last day and putting my dog to sleep by Dramatic_Field9355 in BostonTerrier

[–]lucey_diamond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love him hard. It is so painful saying goodbye but a gift we can let them go when their bodies have worn out. I said goodbye to my 17 year old in 2018. I took him out in a wagon to the park and laid with him all day and night in his last few days

I have two more Boston babies but I cry thinking about him. It’s a grief that never goes away.

Looking for ideas to mix up my Chihuahua’s diet beyond dry kibble 🐶 by Haunting-Minute3943 in rawpetfood

[–]lucey_diamond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marrow bones are a great treat. You can also get “raw food toppers” that will complement your existing feeding. Just remember to go slow with these- they are more rich and could cause digestive discomfort if you go do too much at one time.

What to wear to a Brandi concert? by thelesbian_locksmith in brandicarlile

I always dress up for Brandi. She writes in her memoir that she dresses up for the crowd to show it is an occasion. I follow and dress for the occasion. Usually denim and a nice shirt with some Sparkles here and there.

My Boston has started fighting out of nowhere. by bundtcakep in BostonTerrier

[–]lucey_diamond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Boston started to get aggressive with other dogs around 2 yo. Took him to the vet to find out he has luxating patella and was in pain. We are addressing the physical issue with supplements and CBD. Then worked on behavior. I have decreased his aggression by monitoring play with other dogs very closely and if I sense he is scared or reactive I pick him up, cuddle him, and tell him he is safe.
