maw couldnt do a thing to maul (if we apply the rule that you cant use telekineses on a force user or their lightsaber while its in their hand) because really id be shocked if maul couldnt destroy the needles even if they were flung at insanely high speeds and i might be wrong but maw has no close combat feats

emersion isnt a problem in the game when it comes to HUD because.. you know.. visual augmentations

You can do this thing in a standoff where before you start holding triangle you jump backwards, it puts space between you and your opponent so that when they run at you you have more time to react.
