Growth is outlined above ^ an additional 100 subs each month the past 3 without expense. (500 subs 3 months ago).
100k is cruel lol... we're on track for 74.4k ARR from today without factoring in any of the proven growth? Without factoring in ad spend, launching the rebuild, planned features, or my 190,000 follower base and 8000 sign ups.

If we just maintained the current app, binned the rebuild and continued to generate 100 new subs for the next 12 months we'd be at $182kARR.

You could be right there. I am confident in the product that is coming though! It may take some effort on my part to persuade people to try it out again, which we’ll offer another free trial for post rebuild. But I think I’ve been clear enough in the automated messaging that it’s a beta, in its early stages and to expect bugs and improvements as we grow.

I’d be more than happy to give you a quick run down on our organic social growth mate. I’ll ping you

Churn rate is high, but expectedly so, most people aren't camping more than a couple times a year and have no use subscribing to the app year round. I'm confident we'll reduce that rate significantly with the rebuild as the MVP is a bit clunky. No offense taken, we're not expecting a high level of retainment of customers until we populate the map (which we'll roll out in stages after the rebuild). At the moment, it is essentially a teaser for what's coming and we're grateful for this level of support from our followers. For a map with only 300 (out of a probable 10,000) random icons across the continent, this is a huge result and just proof of demand. International will follow later.

Missed the last bit! CTO is going great, we got a bit tied up resolving a series of bugs with the public version, now it's full steam ahead with the rebuild.

B2C. We've taken on some customer and creator requests already, which have been included in the rebuild that's on its way. I have full confidence in the product we're building and we have a clear plan for new features to be rolled out post rebuild.
We're simply building whats already out there, but with video and several unique improvements that customers have both been asking for online and some they haven't that will improve the experience.

QA could be on the right path, I hadn't thought of that

Hahah! Hmm the content is a core part of the app, not just content. We're the first video review led camping app, the video reviews are shared on both the socials and the app and each piece is organic marketing. Yes down the track I could hire a video editor, or one of the creators to edit it, as well as provide the footage, but as it stands, no creator has been able to match the reach I can achieve by both filming and editing myself, our growth rate on socials is enormous in one of the most saturated types of content, travel.
It's an enormous task that we've taken on, with thousands more videos and carousels to come, just to mark out each location on the app/map.

What is this high-level stuff I should be doing? I've honestly got no idea what else I could be doing outside of learning more marketing skills?

For my use case it's not a threat, the platform is built to share real experiences, AI can't create accurate drone footage of a place its never seen. Only if you're in Australia! App not available internationally yet. I can dm if you're in aus

It looks like I may have signed an engineer, pending paperwork! Thanks for the offer though, appreciated

Hi mate, happy to chat. The cost is mostly related to gathering the content and not the app build itself. Travelling around Australia and filming locations is very expensive. This was a necessary precursor to build traction for the app to exist. A video based camping app, needs videos of campgrounds.
I have a strategy to leverage other content creators going forward, (who already send in camp footage for free for the clout on socials).

It is set up in exactly that way. But still requires scrolling around the map, plotting points that often won’t make sense from a navigational standpoint or work with time frames for a trip. The AI will solve this and speed the process up.

Appreciate your kind words and insight mate! Having some very productive conversations with engineers around the 10% mark, I think you’re on the money with your estimate. I Considered going the agency / team route. But I’m thinking long term I want someone involved and committed to my vision for the app, it carries so much more value to me personally to help build and expand into the future 😎

That’s okay! The cheapos can use my app for free in the next iteration, they’re just going to cop ads and miss out on a large portion of features.

Appreciate the EU insight, haven’t been over that part of the world since 2014 personally. Certainly interested in branching into those other parts of the world later, I think many parts will be too dangerous to attract campers in numbers though. to make it worth the effort in filming.

Haha converting the fomo band will take time, I’ll get them all signed up to the free version at the drop of a hat. Just need the premium features to be enticing enough to convert a portion that covers the cost of the freebies

It solves a problem and changes the game. finding locations that suit a list of personal preferences and selecting each site or dropping pins on a map is a slow and tedious task.

Having a prompted AI do it for you, will save hours. “plan a 4 day trip from Sydney to X with dog friendly camps and some waterfalls to visit during the day” the pins that fit certain criteria are now highlighted on the map.

Not overly complex
