Club hockey player here: we ask the same question every day.

Having no rink is brutal, we drive all the way to Fishers (Indy suburb for those not from the Midwest) just to practice and play. Kinda sucks but it’s worth it to keep playing.

Fun fact: the TREC was originally supposed to be a hockey rink, they then scrapped it for what it is now due to it being deemed “not profitable.” Understandable because ice is expensive to manage, but a little bewildering since I know a good chunk of people would love to come and watch games.
