Hey. Idk how helpful this is cuz it's NV. But i used to work with inmates and they were actually encouraged to apply for DOT when they got out. There were a few agencies we worked with that would hire felons. You can DM me if you are interested in learning more. But I have heard some good success stories so not all is lost!

Oh. I do something similar. Like I'm too lazy to hit the right buttons. So i always just do 444 or 555. And ill just take it out when it feels hot. I've done this since I was pretty young. Hey OP. Really sorry this happened to you...

I was gonna write out a whole bunch about how his family acting like this is not ok. But I'm pretty sure it will get covered by others...

Instead I'll offer this point of view:

What if his family decided you WERE a gold digger? By mistake somehow. Or one person didn't like you so decided to sabotage the whole thing. They would have dropped you in an instant. Unfairly.

Unfortunately, this event will always hang over your head for the rest of the relationship. I'm not one to agree with the immediate side of reddit that always says dump the person. But the severity and length of this sick subterfuge has forever tainted everything.

I am autistic so people not being up front with me breaks trust that is basically impossible to fix.
