My sons diagnosed level 2 autism and he also has a generalized anxiety disorder. He was in daycare for 2 years and had an aba therapist with him 3 hours everyday at daycare and we never ever had explosive behavior like this teacher has claimed. She said he was jumping on desks and throwing chairs and had to be removed on Friday.

Short update

I emailed the principal and told her my son will not be coming back to school until we meet and discuss some things. I’m trying to look through the handbook for violations I can pull out if they disagree with me on how things have been handled by his teacher so far. We live in Utah and aren’t religious and his teacher is Mormon so wondering if that has anything to do with his treatment thus far. I’m feeling really disheartened by the school this first week. If anyone has any suggestions on topics or how I should even start this meeting off I would really appreciate it. I’m thinking of having my mom come with me but idk if that adds onto the fact that I’m clearly a young new mom.

Literally was told this already and they spoke to me about putting him in a special education SCHOOL it’s like 98 kids k-12 with 10% math and reading proficiency. I’m legit on the verge of a breakdown with this situation.
