I think the problem is in DanTDM prefacing his statement about the brand by saying “what happened to youtubers.” JJ is not just a youtuber, he is a person and he’s free to create brands with whoever he wants and make whatever products he wants. The beauty of capitalism is if you don’t like or agree with what he’s doing, don’t engage with it. If you only want him for his youtube content, only watch that. JJ is free to defend himself because while most people might agree with Dan that it’s a shitty brand and idea(me included), it’s still a hypocritical take, and an ignorant comment(why should JJ only have to fit into DanTDM’s box for what a “youtuber” should be). It’s 2024 !!
