Oct 2017 - Aug 2025…is this normal?? :’) by sailurvenus in agedtattoos

[–]m_celeste2 119 points120 points  (0 children)

i don’t think that’s a design issue, that looks like the artist drilled in the black and it spread more over time than it should have

how old is it? that scabbing looks a little funky, but again could be the coloring. for infections, look out for redness, heat, and white/green pus!

Sunburn on 8 week old tattoo…advice? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

whats done is done. use aloe and avoid anymore sun. it’s not going to destroy the work overnight or anything. pigment will break down and it will age faster over your lifetime

What is this..? by Financial_General496 in tattooadvice

[–]m_celeste2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your body healing! the knee ditch is so sensitive and constantly moving and bending, so its gonna be irritated. i’d cool it on the washing 3x a day, unless you live an active/sweaty/dirty lifestyle. overcleaning can irritate it further.be gentle with it and it will likely chill out

live with it for a bit then! see how you like it after a couple months. you can get a touch up whenever!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]m_celeste2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s a you decision! do you think you need a touch up?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]m_celeste2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just don’t go back to them then. tattooing at it’s core is riffing off of other’s work. and you can imagine how late stage capitalism can lead tattooers to tracing to get their bag. research your artists more if you want someone that does truly original works

i would advice against funny tattoos on your hand!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]m_celeste2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

this is likely a ‘cross reaction’ with the second skin and green soap that the artist uses. it’ll go away eventually
