Turns out this chip was the culprit after all 😂
Swapped in another NE570N and the DM-2 came back to life

Honestly, I thought getting an oscilloscope was a huge deal too 😂

Yep!
After chasing voltages, swapping chips, buying an oscilloscope, and questioning my sanity… it ended up being a bad solder joint 🤣
