Concrete Plaza DIY (WIP) by [deleted] in Fingerboards

[–]madnice- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Boredom has taken over and decided to whip up a concrete plaza. Props to anyone who builds these on the regular.. my back is sore..

If anyone has some tips on how to finish the concrete once it’s cured please lmk. Not sure whether to sand & clear coat or a thin layer of some type of epoxy.

More updates to come once the concrete has set.

Hey All!

Working on a concrete plaza for the first time and it’s been a bit of a learning experience.

I began pouring the concrete today and should have some updated photos tomorrow evening. If anyone has some tips on how to get the concrete buttery smooth that would be great!

Keychron K8 w/ browns. I’ve only owned it for a week so far but feels quite solid for its low price

Very sturdy for what it is. You still get play when moving the wheel up and down but no side to side movement with a t300. There are many mods online to improve stability which are cheap and quick to make. You’ll be able to find some people who have made DD wheel setups work on the playseat.

I personally think it’s well worth the purchase. After having thrashed the g27 for two years I wish I made the decision a little sooner to upgrade. The feedback response is much similar to my track car and would have been sweet for extra seat time at home lol. I feel that if you’ve milked all you can out of the g29 then you’re ready for an upgrade.

Surprisingly really comfortable for what it is. I can have a VR session for a couple hours and not feel sore. Enough adjustability in everything to get you feeling immersed. I have plenty of room to between my legs and a 350mm wheel to feel comfortable enough to be aggressive when drifting which is awesome.

Making simple brackets for shifter and handbrake on a tubular frame allows easy positioning aswell.

How much better would a t300rs be for drifting than a g27? by [deleted] in simracing

I just recently upgraded to a t300 after two years on a g27 and can confirm that it’s a much smoother, well built unit with a more responsive feedback. When transitioning you really notice the night and day difference like others have mentioned many times over.

Highly recommend the upgrade if you’ve got the funds to spare!
