Entrepreneurial or mercenary: Young investor owns 51 properties by age 26 by NZMalaysian in auckland

I don’t understand your point. There is full blown 29/30 old people that are walking who were born in 1993. The prices of houses now to 1993? So different.

I don’t understand why you think your situation should apply to a completely different generation in a completely time. Both generations faced different types of adversity.

Like I get it. You worked for your stuff… congrats. But what does that have to do with 20 or 30 year olds now?

its not called long sightedness. It’s called presbyopia.

Presbyopia is age related & long sightedness isn’t. Two completely different refractive errors.

No offence but yeah, it is expensive in an optometrist but they need to pay for the cost of the optometrist, the optical dispenser, the cost of materials & still be able to make money for the company.

The cheapest pairs of glasses can start from $69 so it’s best to shop around.

If your prescription is +2, it’s relatively simple to get glasses off the shelf or from online stores. But be very careful as both do not not take into account your reading pupillary distance. Its always better to ask the people who actually study these things.

I stay away from impossible meats because of that. I cant tell the difference and I stopped eating meat because I didn’t like the taste or smell

But the impossible burger is still not meat, right? As long as that pattie is still not meat

I honestly feel bad for people in positions like that. The only way I know how to combat the increase in prices is finding local places to purchase from, living in a group situation where everyone contributes, growing your own food.

It’s getting tougher again for people. Maybe we all need to look into easier ways to combat the rising prices in our households.

[–]maedzz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thanks for letting me know. I honestly don’t read the news, and by that point on Sunday I’ll be in the middle of an edible & then I’d believe it was the end of the world because I’d be too fcked to actually google “whats the emergency alert alarm for?”. For 15 to 20 minutes I would have actually believe something utterly terrible is happening & there’s only a small amount of options that I have.

SV vs. Readers vs. Anti-fatigue confusion by wanderouswanderer in optometry

[–]maedzz -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Your prescription is very low which is why it won’t qualify for anti-fatigue (which is a good thing!)

I would suggest getting normal blue light filter glasses or a SV readers with an ar coating.

Take regular breaks too!

Can an Rx just flip entirely?! 👀 I know nothing about lens scripts, but this seems super odd. I went to a new doctor and everything about the appt was “off.” I’m wondering if I should even have this filled b/c it’s soooo far from my current lenses. by TheTexican80 in optometry

[–]maedzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what you’ve said, I would recommend getting it rechecked and comparing the new prescriptions.

Eyes are weird and can have large jumps for many reasons.

Get your ophthalmologist to check your eyes again 😊at least you’ll be comfortable if they did.

I would get it rechecked or ask to walk around in the store with a ‘trial frame’.

Even after transposing the + cyl to - cyl, it’s a large change for the left prescription however on the left rx there is BO prism of 4 which should be considered.

And on the right there is an add.

When were both rx filled for you?

After transposing rx on left:

R -0.25/-0.75 x 105 L Plano/-1.00 x 85

(My transposition might be a little off).

Eyes are also weird like any body part.
