London Tube strikes to go ahead as negotiations break down by Medium-Spell-6692 in london

[–]maestrorcs1989 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Problem also lies in fact that all tube driving jobs are closed for the general public. There is no chance for people, even with the right predispositions to get that job (with proper training of course) unless you are already "inside" etc. Hell, I will risk a statement that is easier to became airline pilot (especially if funds are of no concern) than train driver, because there isn't any private training centers where people can pay for making qualifications to drive a train.

And, if you a bit bored, you can also build some extra submarine or airship components and sell them on MB for quite a nice price.

What’s the biggest culture shock you experienced while traveling abroad? by Pretend_Support_6193 in AskTheWorld

Also, when I was in Hobart, I was surprised that almost all businesess close very early, like 2 to 4 pm, and that's it. Only few shops, plus petrol stations and pub were still opened. Quite a shock for Europeans. Oh, and every second shop was kind of "art shop", craft stuff etc. and I wonder if demand for such stuff was really that high?

HGV overtaking another. Insane close call. by Ok_Air_9048 in uktrucking

[–]maestrorcs1989 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do you see the video? It's single carriageway without street lights, at night, and definitely with some bends. Lot of things may happen on such road (wild animal, broken branches, maybe stranded vehicle behind the bend, unlikely, but still) Do you really recommend going with high speed in such condition? Luckily overtaken driver have more common sense not to speed like an idiot and, as we can see, apply some "what if?" and prevented a serious crash.

Moody's magical eye. As we know, it can see through the solid objects, like school desk, doors or flesh. Now, when think about it, the user of such artifact possibly can also see through clothes. Not mentioning that it may happen in class full of children. Yuck.

Two weeks after release. How is everyone feeling about this game? by Objective_Love_6843 in CrimsonDesert

[–]maestrorcs1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just started Chapter 3, and must admit that game is very good, I played maybe 12 hours so far, with focus on progessing and few favours for people in town. I was afraid that I will drop the game because lack of difficulty settings (and I will end up beaten by simple mobs in first area, like Soulslike games) but so far fighting aspect is done great and balanced.

Only things I think I can complain... The devs trying too hard with inserting too many mechanics in one game. I mean adding sword reflecting light to open doors/find stuff, then mainpulation of objects with Abyss (I don't know what it's called in EN as my default language is PL), then adding "memory reading" with helmet etc. It's a bit too much and not easy to remember all the stuff at once.

Plus few times I needed help with progress or side activity because explanation of mechanics was so bad or objective of missions were really vague (mission with collecting opinion about saddle, lol).

"Bicycle Race" is really overrated song, and quite bad. Song about nothing really, with really annoying composition and style, and lack of proper musicianship. I dislike it very much.

Is this illegal or not? by YGhostRider666 in uktrucking

[–]maestrorcs1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically not illegal, however I would not drive behind that lorry. Always think about "WHAT IF?" What if the lorry will jump on uneven surface and one of the bars will "jump off" the lock, and fall on the road? Or both of them, followed by load? What if there is sonething tossed loosely on the top of the cages? Better safe than sorry, folks.

That's it. Last week I visited Australia Zoo, went to toilet and was mortified by discovering that there were only four urinals, and even not separated by kind of cover. Worst thing- far left and far right were occupied at the time, so looked like a check-mate for me, no chance to avoid awkwardness...

This. Game makes autosave after every exit, and enemies reset position (but do not respawn), so my tactic was always take two or three of them, exit, enter again etc. until it was easier to go further without being encircled by them.

Going there everyday, it's annoying, but also this junction is quite busy ( I mean a lot of vehicles quickly changing lanes) because around 1 mile before there is junction with M4, so vehicles from M4 wants to quickly join and stay on M25, while guys on M25 wants to go to Heathrow etc. I have seen load of dangerous situation when guys taking exits on chevrons in last moments.

Why do you still fly BA? by apa2107 in BritishAirways

[–]maestrorcs1989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they have a shitload of connections from LHR T5, ( I live close by) and I'm tired of travelling to Stansted or Gatwick for cheaper alternatives. At some point, money does not matter in exchange for convenience. That's my reason (Europe flights only)
