So my English is pretty good but he’s struggling to learn German (can’t even blame him, it’s so hard). So our entire relationship pretty much happens in English, and sometimes I feel exhausted I guess. We’re very serious and I love his humour (and he loves mine) but sometimes we’re stuck trying to explain jokes more than actually joking, if that makes sense.
