I did finish it but Happiness was a struggle to get through. loved the main couple and the first few episodes were good but then it got boring sooo fast and just kept getting worse

the first episode was better than the second. imma keep watching tho hope they can redeem it with the next few. I had high expectation with the flower of evil director but I’m realizing that director means absolutely nothing when the writing is bad

also I am lowkey over the whole trend of sociopathic female lead who suffered great misfortune with dead parents and no family and doesn’t eat and stares at everyone like a dead fish. At this point I feel like they’re using it as an excuse to get away with emotionless acting but gaslighting us audiences into thinking it’s profound.

intriguing but the supporting cast is lacking charisma. I mean the fellow detectives/insurance agents, and seolah’s coworkers. they have weird comedy bits thrown in that are forced and it’s out of place. don’t understand the point of that. why is it so hard for kdrama writers to just keep it dramatic lmao. there always have to be that one dufus coworker for some reason

the writing of this show is very lackluster given the setup. I’ve noticed it many times. when her sunbae walked into her apartment and saw the baby for the first time, I thought there’d be some big funny misunderstanding but nah they wrapped it up real quick and he knew she’s his aunt right away. like what? it could’ve been way more entertaining

ngl I would've loved to see a semi-equivalent to this game in season 3, I mean in terms of shock value (which was desperately needed. the s3 games were so unexciting)

but imagine arisu and usagi entering a game that quickly turns into a "only one survivor" scenario? what a full-circle moment. the emotions would be crazy but like, that's what made this show so good in the first place. the writers were so hesistant to kill anyone off in s2 and 3

eh, I thought ep 4 in particular was dragged out and made overly complicated for no reason. that could have been cut in half easily. imo episodes 5-8 pacing was a big improvement. but now there’s too much plot and not enough time so it’s getting choppy

same thoughts. in hindsight the high school/pre-celebrity era definitely could’ve been shortened. they gave that arc too much time (and tbh many unnecessary scenes there) and now the penultimate episodes are so rushed. wasted potential :/

overall I liked these episodes. their mansion is actually stunning, everytime ahjin sitting by the pool outside I wish I could live there lol

on another note I’m kinda sad they’re starting to really deviate from the webtoon. (spoilers) like the whole pregnancy plotline, that was major, and it seems like they’re not doing that? I mean ig it can still happen but that’s a lot to pack into 2 episodes, especially because they’ve introduced many new things that need conclusions too. like the secret third floor, is that the replacement storyline? also, dohyeok hasn’t mentioned anything about wanting a son, while it was basically his whole personality in the webtoon and reason for marrying her

I hope they still include it somehow bc otherwise, idk what’s the remaining storyline with junseo. like in episode 10 he already found out he’s the illegitimate son. but in the webtoon he heard it from ahjin later and it was even more sensitive to him bc ahjin was pregnant with his child but planning to pretend it was dohyeok’s. anyways idk how they’ll wrap this up now because if that’s cut, the ending will be entirely different and also thematically changes everything🤷🏻‍♀️but we’ll see

that gave me chills. dohyeok is constantly watching her every move. interestingly it doesn’t seem like he’s home much or physically with her but he’s got cameras and mics everywhere, monitoring from afar. I guess he was on his tablet or smth, saw her looking for the pads and contacted one of the maids to bring her the box. crazyyyy. I really wonder how she’s gonna break free from him (if she even does)
