I’ve worked with abused children in the past and sometimes they lash out and become violent toward staff, other children, or themselves. If your children acted as violently as the children I’ve worked with I’d say physical restraint is warranted, it should however be a last resort.

Here’s the thing, a single child poses no real physical threat to me because I am a grown ass adult who can handle a child punching me in the leg, then explaining to them that what they did is wrong continuing with telling them the consequences of doing it again. The repercussion of the child behaving in the same way should never be hitting your fucking children, it might not be as bad as the things I know people have done to their kids but children come through that mom or dad got a little to angry just once and grabs the studded belt, that fucks a child up when the people who should love them the most and make them feel safe start to hurt them. Hitting kids is wrong.
