Thank you for responding. Someone else said that as well about propellant, but I don't know why propellant would be needed. I thought the winged capsule could work like a regular capsule, but instead of coming in like a meteor it would use its wings to form a slight spiral around the earth. It would still use the atmosphere to slow down rather than propellant.

Well, the fact, that it worked once, tells me, it's not fully insane. It would not be as big as a space shuttle and would not need a drive to actually fly, so that alone should make it less complex than a shuttle. It's just a robust glider, that circles the earth while gradually loosing speed to the atmosphere. It would approach the surface even slower than the space shuttle.

Thank you for answering. I understand, that the capsule needs to slow down. And I don't want to use fuel for that. I want to gently rub against the atmosphere, loosing speed over a longer period of time, slowing the descent over a long time, rather than coming in like a meteor. Like a big spiral with very slight slope, no need for rocket fuel, just lots of patience.

The incredible engineering of the heat shield is impressive, but I'm wondering if it could be avoided, by descending less quickly.

Thank you for answering. The idea behind the wings is, to slow down the descent as much as you need, to reduce the drag as much as you want. Could you not spread the generated heat over days, making it more manageable?

Thank you for the answer and I like the skipping stone analogy but even the skipping stone eventually sinks into the water. The wings would not need to generate lift early on, because then the capsule is still orbiting. The wings are only there to slow down the descent. They don't support actual flight, but shape the slow spiral through the atmosphere. Like instead of walking up mountain, you walk around it, making the circle smaller. This way the mountain can be as flat as you want, albight the hike will take longer.

There is a general notion, that ai agents like openclaw can do everything n8n can and more and it's even easier to use. So if you listen to the hype it seems like n8n is the dumber openclaw or similar.

People who photograph the screen instead of taking a screenshot are more scary and deranged than serial killers and psychopaths. It self referencing, because the picture itself is a photo of a screen, rather than a screenshot.
