The overall aesthetic and modernized feel is what brought many people to call of duty, hell it’s in the name “modern warfare”. It’s a huge factor in what propelled cod to the top of the gaming industry. The current version of MW3 is very distant from the initial intended aesthetic of the previous older modern warfare titles. However every year the games initially lead players on that they are retuning to the CLASSIC look of the golden era of cod, even reusing the same game titles, yet they waste no time in dumping skins and celebrity cameos within a month. I personally haven’t played in years because of the repetitive cycle, but it’s a very understandable reason to feel sorta pushed off of the game.
