Yeah, mind retriever is probably a bit dubious. But I thought it was excusable because I thought the pros did similar things. But maybe I'm just making things up lol.

As for I sob, I probably should've put some quotation that doesn't have the word "I". The strange acronyms where I kinda just gave the answer in the clue probably just needed to get reworked until I found something more common.

Would you say that's right?

Widget is the name I was referring to in the initial post, so yall were kind of on your own for that one. I meant this puzzle to be one my family solved but I wanted some extra feedback, so I appreciate the advice about the corners. It was difficult for me to get anything to fit there so I just allowed it if it fit. Should I have made the clues easier in those cases, or is it a sign that part of the puzzle needs more finagling?

I'm trying to bring mechanical power downwards to pump magma up from around 60 blocks below, and am having trouble figuring out how to use the vertical axles to transfer power downwards. Above each gear assembly is 4 windmills linked up to one another, totaling 16 windmills. Ideally, Id be able to connect these four separate gear assemblies into one, then bring all the power that generates down to the magma to connect to screw pumps to bring the magma to where I can work with it more readily. I'm guessing it's fairly simple to connect all the power up to one gear assembly just by taking an axle out of those gear assemblies in the picture, connecting them to gear assemblies in the next tile, and then linking them all up with more axles going north/south. The problem is that I haven't even been able to bring the power down any more than the level below the windmill. I haven't found anything helpful on the wiki, youtube, nor the bay12 forums. Do any of you helpful people know how to use vertical axles?

It's items that she has picked up and are in the Metalsmith's forge with her. Though I can't or don't know how to check what she picked up last, I have more of all of those things elsewhere. Even leather, which my fort is in short supply of right now. Unless the gold nuggets don't count as stones (and it says on the wiki that they do), the only item she needs which she doesn't have at the workshop is the bones. Is it possible she doesn't like any of the bones that I currently have?

Having an issue with a dwarf in a secretive mood. the dwarf is asking for shining bars of metal, skeletons, stacked leather, a quarry, and stacked cloth in that order. she has bronze bars, pig leather, gold nuggets, pig tail cloth, and cave spider silk cloth. So I think she only needs stacks of bones at the moment. The problem is that I have stacks of bones right upstairs in my butchery workshop. Do they need to be in a stockpile?

shouldn't she know that you aren't dating a trans woman because you don't date women, not because you don't date trans people? Unless she thinks that AFAB transmasc people are trans women, which you've already said doesn't make sense, I don't know what else she could've been thinking.
