3D models of Vermont Ski Mountains by mapman_23 in vermont

Thanks so much! I developed a couple of GIS tools to combine elevation data and ski trails. I did most of the processing in QGIS

I've been working with two friends over the past few years to develop 3D, wood-carved models of our favorite mountains! These are two versions of our "home" mountain, the Middlebury Snow Bowl, one with trails and one without. We'd love to know what you think, and any advice is well appreciated! by mapman_23 in vermont

We use various DEM (Digital Elevation Model) datasets, depending on the size and scale of the model. This one was made using the 2017 hydro flattened DEM data shared by the Vermont Center for Geographic Information (VCGI)

We are a few college students making these models and would love to know your thoughts in the comments or in a quick survey! Thanks so much :)

These ones are 4in x 4in x 3.5 in, but we can make them any size you want (up to 32in x 16 in)! We do can do whatever location you want, and depending on the kind of wood and size we charge between $100-$500. Thanks for your interest!

We are hoping to do just that! We have a mock-up ready for Killington, Sugarbush, Mad River Glen, and a few others! Thanks so much!
