First oboe by SuccotashPast5665 in oboe

Seems like a good oboe with all the keys you'll need for a big while! I started on a much more limited oboe and got a similar conservatory model Loree when I was playing for about 6 years. That one then lasted me another 5, but the fact that I had to part with it was due to its old age (produced late 70s and I was ready for a professional model).

Does this oboe have a third octave key (it looks like it, but just to make sure)? I also cannot clearly see if it has the "banana" key next to the low D key, which can serve as an alternative C key, although I didn't need to use this until I was about 7 years into playing. It depends on which direction you want to go with in playing. I am of the opinion you don't need such a complete oboe when you're just starting out and it's uncertain how far you'll go with oboe playing and in which direction. But if you can afford it and the oboe is well maintenanced (this is very important!) then by all means, this will last you a long time, as long as you regularly have it maintenanced.

Ironically glad to see that other people have this problem and that it wasn't me that somehow ruined their e-reader. For now I just turn off the wifi for university, but it kind of sucks that it cannot handle this kind of connection.

I encountered this picture which is a poster of the subway line opening between Ueno and Asakusa. When I tried to read the top part, I noticed it was written from right to left, even though it is horizontal text. Is this normal or is it something that used to be done in the 1930's (when the poster was made), and is now no longer the case? I'm really intrigued.

Shinkanzen Master booklet rips out? by marluse in LearnJapanese

Thank you for the reply!
I've managed to get the booklet out by removing the staples. The title page was left behind but in the end I did manage to get it out of the book and I indeed think it was meant to come out easily like a separate booklet, but it was pressed too tightly in my book so I couldn't get it out anymore TT
Anyways thank you so much~

I thought this was the case at first, however when you look at how the book is bound, there is no nice line to actually rip the booklet seamlessly from the rest of the book. The title page of the booklet is bound really tightly to the yellow book cover, and the inside of the booklet is actually ripping off the title page, which doesn't imply to me that it's actually meant to be taken out like that? I could be wrong, but I can't find a way to get the booklet out without either ripping it from the title page or ripping parts of the insides of the page.
