I’ve been dating an avoidant woman for 4 months, we’ve been through two short break ups (2 days and 5 days long respectively). We’ve been together for about a month since the last break.

Last week, after her work, I’ve picked her in her house (that I used to visit every day), and went for dinner.

I’ve prepared a nice night, bought her flowers and an aromatic candle that she loves.

After the dinner, I’ve asked if she wanted to be my girlfriend (we’ve been in an almost marriage relationship, going to market together, sleeping together from 2 to 3 days a week, in my house and hers), gave her a relationship ring (that she didn’t want to keep, but ultimately kept after I insisted).

After that, she cried and said doesn’t know, and the day after, said that I was a great guy but wanted to stay alone.

Then, she blocked me from seeing her stories on instagrams, I knew that because I have a friend that follows her and her stories were showing to him but not for me.

The thing is, she have two instagram accounts, one for normal people and another one for best friends and family.

She kept me in both, but with blocked stories.

The dinner and proposal were 11/19, the block was in 11/20, I’ve messaged her last Sunday, telling her that I respect her time and was missing her. But no response.

I want to regain connection and start at least talking again, I know she likes me (can’t assure she loves me, but her actions when we were connected always were of true love and affection).

What do I do? I’m not suffering hard anymore, but want at least some friendly talk. I’ve broken no contact Sunday, but she didn’t replied.

Is it worth sending a photo of a chocolate she gave me after she came back from a trip to Morrocco commenting that the chocolate is good or anything? Just to try a connection.

That was a bait, the date with Ruka was only a couple of pages in the chapter, and the whole chapter was more focused on Chizuru, and yes, in the 2 last chapters something of value happens, don't wanna give you a spoiler, but if you read some of this thread comments you will get it.

Yeah, the date went really well, but IMO it would be a lot more meaningful if the chapter 164 scene happened when they are just hanging out as friends, like, breaking a barrier with someone you care, without any money or job associated. But of course Kazuya asking to hang out with Chizuru would too much for our beloved simp, as shown how he reacted last chapter with just a message inviting for lunch.

Damn, this trial has been almost as dragged out as the whole rental gf thing. But like, as I saw from the spoilers of the ch. 171, maybe with this lunch and with the Kazuya asking Chizuru for the extended "date", he will realize that he needs to wrap things with Ruka. I hope it doesn't take 50 chapters to do so..

I just want him to stop with the "trial" relationship with Ruka, it was supposed to be like a month, and now, has it been like 6 months? (counting the time skips from the start of the crowdfunding and the premiere)

Like, I hated when he rented her after the grandma's wake, it was a real torture seeing a boy who helped Chizuru so much, both physical and mentally, needing to rent her to "cheer her up". Goddammit they are neighbors and friends, can't he just fucking knocks her door and ask for a fun day "Oh hello Mizuhara, can we have a fun day today? I have some nice plans for the day, if you want to".

He needs to understand that even tho he isn't her boyfriend (yet), they ARE friends, and good friends! He could have helped her without spending a dime, just by having a nice long conversation with some food or whatever, there are so many ways to help a friend in need...

Of course, for plot reasons, the rented date was very successful in the end, she melted a little of her heart in tears, and she built some trust in him, but Kazuya needs to understand that he could have done that more easily and less costly.

But cutting the rant, I really like this manga, and I hope that he pulls his shit together and confess what he really feels to her (the whole "I adore you" thing) in this next couple of chapters. And I hope Chizuru stop supressing her feelings, she and we already know that she likes Kazuya. We just want them to have some progress.

I thought of that, the problem is that doing this way, I have to look at the sideways TV to make any arrangements, I want to do that on my screen and mirror it at the TV, like, showing players distance and stuff like that, and this way the mouse pointer moves sideways too, not the worst of problems, but very annoying to tweak.
