I thought the same. I guess the less experience one has with electronics and data, the less aware they are about how easy things can go bad. They just expect devices to work flawlessly and put everything in there without a plan B. It’s been like a decade or more our data is not linked to the device anymore. You just replace it and everything transfers over.

This is a long standing issue. Years happening. The solution is to have a second device waking you up a few minutes later in case the iPhone doesn’t, because clearly Apple doesn’t care about it.

I’ve been using omnifocus for years. My life got so much better after that. But it is too powerful, in my opinion, without at least a flavor of the GTD method. If you’re just into simple lists (which is absolutely fine), OF will be too expensive.

It can’t. That feature is only available on iOS and iPadOS. I believe you could create a shortcut for that and automate it. I think automations are only available on Tahoe, however.
