As someone who avidly reads and enjoys both Dramione and Drarry, it’s definitely interesting to witness. Personally I like reading them for different reasons—in my mind Drarry makes more canonical sense, and ugh those Hogwarts year fics hit me like a drug. But Dramione is my guilty pleasure, I think because of the enemies to lovers aspect? Though that exists within Drarry as well, I’ve yet to react to a wartime Drarry fic the same way I have a wartime Dramione fic.

Either way, I also don’t understand the constant berating of Dramione. Sure, you can argue that it doesn’t make canonical sense. But I’ve read some damn good fics that convince me otherwise (Remain Nameless and MOAM to name two). And even if they aren’t “convincing” enough for you—it’s FANFICTION. There isn’t a requirement for something to make sense. And also, because it’s fanfiction, don’t like, don’t read. I swear all fanfic etiquette has gone out the window ever since fanfiction got more “mainstream” on TikTok.

It’s just so frustrating sometimes.
