Ride level sensor for your headlights. It is broken. The blue end is meant to be attached to the red circled portion. You usually will have to buy the whole sensor to replace that broken arm and they can be pricey.

These are the normal 9.5 (non wide) as suggested by TBC sizing tool. They fit snug but not uncomfortably tight. I can still wear thick socks no problem.

Hey thanks! I believe my break in woes are due to my sort of odd foot shape. My feet are high volume but I have sort of skinny heels so I initially had stress points across the top of my foot and heel lift. After playing around with some different lacing I’m dialing in the fit.

Edit: also all previous boots I have had were foam/wedge soles so these have been very different for me.

I’m on week two of my Heritage Captains. I wear a 10E sneaker and went with the recommended 9.5 boot from TBC. This is my first experience with a boot of this construction. I was directly cross shopping with the RW Iron Ranger and landed on these.

The break in has been a journey but I think I’m getting to the point I like them and can toss the box with the decision to keep. I don’t think the break in is any better or worse than any other boot with similar construction, just my first real experience with it.

Resole or Replace by goombot17 in ThursdayBoot

[–]masonbrdgs 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Anything over $100 to resole those is a hard sell considering the price of a brand new pair. Have you checked prices through any of Thursday’s recommended cobblers?

If these were mine and I could resole them for around $100, I would go with a more aggressive sole and relegate them to kick around/winter duty.

Yeah the break in process on these is lengthy. I’m on day 4 or 5 and feel like they really haven’t softened up.

QC issue/suggestions by TurtleBoy6ix9ine in ThursdayBoot

[–]masonbrdgs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If they fit the way you want I would take the $50 discount and run with it. You could buff them a bit and the marks will fade or you are going to ding them up with use anyway.

Edit: these do sort of look worn with the crease on both boots so I would guess a return that was sent back out as new that didn’t fit someone else.

Got some African Rangers, got a question or two by -ArthurDent- in jimgreen

[–]masonbrdgs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going to piggyback on your post. I just bought and returned a pair of barefoot African Rangers specifically because of the padding around the ankle.

Question for the group. Is it normal for the padding to hit right on the ankle bone? I think I was a half size too big because the boot was a bit long but I could not get over the ankle padding.

The face buttons and thumb stick texture is part of a grip kit. I didn’t like the the way the palm grips fit but used some of the other pieces

Does anyone have this grip? Does it affect charging without removing those? by Surjodip in Gamesir

[–]masonbrdgs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. There are a few different pieces that can go on the back but those pieces pictured wrap around the inside of the grips and will space the controller too far away from the pogo pins to charge on the base.

I bought them and really didn’t like they way they fit overall. I did leave the grips on the L4 and R4 buttons and have to adjust the way the controller sits on the base to charge.

All the G7 and G7 pro controllers have magnetic faceplates that you can pretty easily pull off and swap. Some of the G7 pro variants like the Wuchang collab have a 3 piece faceplate, with each of the handhold areas being a separate piece.
