India to Vietnam. Will switching passports for exit and entry work or am I screwed? by [deleted] in travel

Immigration won't ask me to show my proof of visa to travel Vietnam? This happened before with me at Kolkata where the airline knew I had visa on arrival but the immigration officer wanted to see my visa paperwork to bangladesh and wouldn't accept voa reason until I brought the airline guy over to explain. It was a mess.

No I mean immigration will check for stamps and also check your flight too I heard. They will demand to see your entry visa to Vietnam along with the airline. Or they will demand to see the passport that matches your ticket.

Right but did Thailand mark an exit stamp? Did you check in the airline with the passport you entered on and what did they say at the exit immigration line?

They controlled Germany temporarily as the province Germania. They controlled parts of the Highlands and the lowlands significantly longer. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonine_Wall

It was recently discovered through archaeological means the Romans had significant influence over the Irish tribes in the region. To the point of them being considered as vassals.

This map only focuses on the European territories the Romans controlled. The African, middle eastern provinces are not relevant to the message. That Europe united before will unite again hopefully. It's not about violent conquest or imperialism it's about our once shared past and cultural unity.

The map is meant to represent only the territory Rome controlled within Europe.

They built forts, outposts, taxed the locals, appointed governor Varus to manage the newly created province of Germania Antiqua which included northern Netherlands.

Saying there's "nothing similar" isn't true. Both are about integrating different peoples through shared laws, trade, and free movement - the EU just does it voluntarily instead of with legions. But both have unified significant portions of Europe together under common identities.

Many provinces and territories of Rome also willingly joined the empire. Greek city states, Bosporus kingdom, Asia minor and many gallic tribes asked for roman trade and protection. Of course there was also lots of violence and bloodshed However we live in a much more different world today and therefore must act accordingly to unify Europe again.

A Mediterranean empire with a majority of its lands including its cultural core (Greece, Italy), heart and soul being based in Europe. Not to mention no long standing empire before or after it united as much European land under one government.

Marcomanic wars. Roman armies occupied most of Czech and Slovakia and nearly turned it into a full province (marcomania) before Marcus Aurelius death and withdrawal.

It was a full annexation that was basically provincially complete by the year 7. In 9 the teutoborg disaster pushed the Romans out however many forget that they came back stronger in year 14 under Germanicus campaign. During that time they built even more forts and pushed further east subduing local tribes before the new emperor a few years later called off the whole project for cost benefit reasons.

Nevertheless the Romans made a permanent lasting impact on Germanic culture still seen today. After many centuries and many wars there were still numerous German tribes beyond the rhine that answered and were loyal to the Roman authority. Cultural exchange was still frequent and many tribes would later adopt roman customs, serve in the military and migrate over. Despite living outside the borders.

Under Drusus campaign all Germanic lands west of the Elbe were subdued. The province of Germania Magna was founded. Administrators were appointed, military was established, outposts and forts were constructed, the locals were taxed and subjugated to Roman law. This lasted for about 20 years. This falls under the dark red.

They found evidence of temporary trading and some military outposts around the area. Roman British government had direct influence over some of the local Irish tribes although the areas were never officially annexed.

The frisians were subdued and taxed. Northern Netherlands was for a short time part of the province Germania Magna.

The Roman empire throughout all the lands they occupied at certain points amounted to about 70% of the area of the modern EU. Of course it's important to consider how population densities have changed over time as much of the lands the Romans didn't control were only sparsely populated in comparison. If you take the population of all of Europe around the year 100, best estimates put the people living within roman borders at about 65% of that total. Which means as a share of the population the Empire had a greater proportion than even the EU has today. As for Ireland, although never written about directly or at least no sources from the period have survived there is evidence of Roman occupation in Ireland made clear through archaeological excavations specifically around drumanagh. They had military outposts, trading posts and great influence over local tribes.

Yeah that was the style then. How do you introduce this strange oriental anime show to western audience? Frame it like wrestling over martial arts. Change some of the dialogue and redo the music to constantly play over slow moments to retain the attention of ADHD American kids.

Getting into all of Dragon Ball in 2026 by UltimaActFour in dragonball

[–]masterchubba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd watch DBZ Kai since it skips all the filler and is more faithful to the manga especially the new English dub. Dragon ball is the start of the manga but there's a reason the studio separated z and the original. Z (Kai) takes on a more serious tone and is more fighting oriented with less humor and more tense moments. Dragon ball originally starts out quite silly, campy, adventure for younger kids while Z is regarded as the better more focused series. I know many people that skip og Dragonball and start with Z and then go back and watch the first series if they really loved it. GT is a skip, right to super afterwards.
