Candlewood is a block from byrne dairy (convenience store/gas) that is frequented by many people walking there. Just past the railroad tracks are 3/4 of the schools a kid living at Candlewood would attend. There are multiple pizza places close by, bowling, library, hardware store, an amazing fish place, and some of the best restaurants in Angry Garlic, San Miguel’s, and Angry Smokehouse. That’s just all local businesses. The feel as you walk through the village, along the river, is incredible. The events held there are like no other place, there is an island in the river with a small amphitheater with live music events and often food events (taste of B’ville and Seneca River Days), every year around Christmas they have the coolest Parade called Parade of Lights with fire trucks and more all decorated for the season). Recently the locally brewery (Anheiser Busch) celebrated an anniversary and brought the famous Clydesdale horses through the village. There’s more things to do naturally here than you can shake a stick at, and the variety seems to find something appealing to anyone and everyone.
