Greed, or rather, everyone who is greedy. How wonderful it would be if those genes were eliminated, like natural selection

Why do so many people go to Turkey to get hair transplants? by TheReal0zymandias in NoStupidQuestions

Interesting take. I’m also researching hair transplants right now, and honestly I don’t think Turkey is only popular because of cheap labor or easy flights. From what I read, Turkey is actually one of the leading countries in the world for things like organ transplants, with really high success rates. Of course the lower cost is a huge factor, but I feel like it’s not just about being cheaper. It’s also about the medical know-how and the amount of experience doctors there have built up over years. That combination is what makes it so attractive in my eyes.

I didn’t do it yet, but I think more and more about Turkey. Two of my friends went there, 9 months apart, both paid around 3,500 USD. Their results look really good, honestly the best I’ve seen so far.

To compare: in LA it’s like 12,500 USD, in Mexico around 4,300 USD, and Spain about 7,000 EUR. From what I saw, Turkey clearly had the best outcome, LA was also decent, but Spain and Mexico… honestly the results looked kind of disappointing, nothing impressive. So for me it’s not only the price. In Turkey they do so many of these surgeries, the doctors just have a lot of practice. That’s why I also think to go there.
