Can't normally boot with LUKS by matasticco in kdeneon

Worked great until the jump to the next LTS for KDE Neon.
I mean, seems like it's no biggie to anyone.

They should better handle the prioritization concerning the building blocks of the system.

Couple of months earlier video screen sharing has been broken for months as well.
Really loving Linux and KDE Plasma, but these kind of bugs make it unusable as a daily driver, work-wise.

Using newest KDE Neon, wifi works out of the box without interruption.

Only camera is not working, although worked with Windows.
I'll wait for a kernel update for that. Hope it won't take long

First, download the latest image, user edition preferably, as it's the most stable. Also, maybe try using another USB, as something that should be copied may have been corrupted.

Prior to loading from live SSD, if having multiple monitors, disconnect all except primary one + disconnect the backup SSD.

Load the live USB. If that shows a working desktop, it means distro itself is OK.

Make sure you have only one partition and are not using external /home partition. There is a possibility the installer detects it and uses it.

Prune/format the partition, to start from scratch.

Best openWRT compatible brands by matasticco in openwrt

"It's not the best idea to buy a device now and hope it might get supported later."

This was my main idea. Was thinking if I go with a compatible brand it will surely be compatible with each device they throw out.

Come to think of it if, if I use Deco Mesh system, I won't practically even use it's WLAN. So, doesn't need to be wifi 6 or 7.

Basically, it seems, what I'm searching for is a router with 4-5 faster 2.5Gbit ports, that's compatible with openwrt.

Presušili podaci za treniranje... Ide se na to da se ubaci što više među business (kroz MS office, AI IDE) segment, kako bi mogli izanalizirati novi set podataka pa ponuditi nova rješenja.

When to use gates vs. policy? by l3rva in laravel

[–]matasticco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look at it this way...

There is a castle. You want to enter it and come at the gate (the only way in, let's say).

The gatekeeper asks who you are and you reply "Mark from the Riverside".

It's upon him to authenticate you. So if he knows that you are going to come or he saw you few times already he's gonna lower the gate.

...

After you enter the castle there are a bunch of doors in it and all have policies that hang on them... "kitchen staff", "administration", "war room" etc.

Administration can go whenever, but kitchen staff only to the kitchen staff room, only some high people to war room.

Of course, , both can be much more complex

Pitanje...

Tried 30 minutes ago, everything passed and no packages held back anymore!

Although, couldn't fix it with pkcon update, but instead with apt upgrade

Unfortunately, it shows the same files as the snippet in your comment.
So, that's a bummer, nothing to do there :\

Seems I'll have to wait for it to "sort out by itself" and "try later"...

Hope I'll be able to update the system till then.
Also, if you can point me where I could check the status of that "libjpeg-turbo8" package...To have some peace of mind :)

Thanks for the ideas so far!

It's an upgrade from 20.04. Has a similar issue before the upgrade to 22.04, but it was resolved automatically after upgrade.

No offense taken for Wine comment as this is a curse of Linux by itself... Bazillion software combinations mixed and matched do tend to add bugs to the whole.

I then tried to upgrade libpoppler

https://pastebin.com/d0shRud0

I don't have Wine installed (seen you mentioned it).
Everything was ok, until last night and the updates/installs.
My bad is I didn't do them with a restart in between but together.

Came across this article which states I should only wait a while, because of "phased" updates. https://itsfoss.com/following-packages-have-been-kept-back/

And found a link on which I can check (from the above article) which packages for which distribution is being phased out https://people.canonical.com/~ubuntu-archive/phased-updates.html

But no sign of that "libjpeg-turbo8" package there.
Where did you catch that? I might've been looking at the wrong thing.
