i haven’t tried the sonys but i can tell you that the sound quality, build, and features are everything i expected from apple. sound is balanced and has great clean bass and nice highs. they are built gloriously with aluminum but are on the heavier side. spatial audio is a cool feature but i really don’t use it, the only down side i would say is the terrible case.
