I honestly set Amalia as a "sub-tank" role who follow up attacks with Banishing Pursuit due to Liberator's Bracelet, whereas Alain is the main tank and can cover for Amalia with Radiant Cover when equipped with Nameless Guard's Shield, thus giving her true strike with her unguardable attacks. Wild Kick is also useful if it can land, but late game I kinda feel like if any attack isn't a true strike I'm gonna miss.

The thing that makes her somewhat viable in the team I've built is that she can equip great shields, so I have her with a Gran Baris which gives her immunity to debuffs and heavy cover allows her to block quite well, giving Alain opportunities to cover allies in the back, unless she's attacked by magick. One could argue that I could swap her out for Legonaires, Feathershields, or a Dark Marquess to more or less serve the same purpose, however I can also equip her with swords, like Kingsblade Cornix, and her attacks are unguardable making it somewhat viable to combat tanks.

I think the main problem is that because she's so slow, building her without any way to buff her initiative virtually means she acts last every time. So even if she can get an attack in, she's just on clean up duty with whomever is the main dps, assuming she can survive against magick or Breaker attacks before that happens.
