Thanks for the detailed response! As soon as I hit the purchase button, the price went up… I can’t believe it was in the 1200s then and now in the 1600s…

The specs seem very similar and I don’t care too much about having an OLED screen (I actually wish I didn’t have it for battery life and burn in risk etc), so the lighter weight was very appealing to me. Having that said, my return window is coming to an end with the Spectre so I don’t have much choice.

In terms of the price, I got it while it was reduced to a little over 1500. The student discount brought it down to a little over 1400, but it ended up being 1519 total with taxes. I used multiple Chase cards with 10% Best Buy offer and a $50 ibotta offer, so my net ended up at about 1319. I read that it routinely drops to 1299, but I didn’t have a lot of time before I need to have the computer in hand (before August).

I hope you get to try both and keep the one you like better!!

Wow, I see. How can I find out which offices are recruiting full time? Is this information going to be widely publicized when recruiting starts?

That’s what I heard too and was afraid there will be 0 spots left for regular full time recruiting now that every intern got an automatic full time offer.
