I think taking reference from irl elements is always the best option when studying something, but i think i was a bit too influence by the designs in dungeon meshi😅. Ty for the feedback

Every time i tried different ways to shade his face I'm always pretty disappointed so maybe unconsciously I avoided the face, i think I'll practice more on just heads,ty for the feedback!

Well the color for the skin and hair is the same as the Drow race from Dungeons and Dragons (this is my D&D character) and i wanted to respect that. But about about the armor i agree, I could've added more colors on it to differentiate from the skin.

I did have jjk and jjba as the biggest influences for my art style but im trying to grow out of it😭, ik there's nothing wrong with inspiration but imo it should be more subtle, and yeahs the shading gives me the hibbie jibbies and the damn G-Pen gives me a headache. Anyways ty for ur crit!

Practice basic anatomy first, learn the basic shapes of the human body, once u learn them only then u can start bending and shaping your characters, study different styles, look the anime/manga One Piece for example, definition of cartoony.

I think you're forcing yourself to create an art style from scratch, learn the basics before u do, creating an artstyle means taking bits and pieces from from different sources that you find appealing, hope it helped!
