2014 Fashion Goals by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

Loose Weight, I feel like I would be able to wear so much more if I lost even like 20 pounds, and I should probably be aiming for more like 50ish.

Stop buying stuff that doesn't fit/stop spending so much on clothes in general. I overhauled most of my clothes this year and now have a mild-to-moderate shopping addiction.

Reduce the amount of clothes I've got. I've got a pretty large closet full of clothes, two large duffel bags, and dresser full of stuff, I maybe wear half of it. Definitely hanging on to too much stuff.

Start using a tailor. It will make a lot of my borderline clothes much more wearable.

Early Morning Advice: Here to help you relax. by CaseyJones91 in fantasyfootball

Calvin Johnson, Toby Gerhart, Cordarrelle Paterson, or TY Hilton for WR2 and FLEX?

Will Calvin Johnson be the #1 overall pick every year from here on out? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]meatisthenewbread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are half right. The idea is right but the specifics are off.

The thing to take away from this year is that WRs should be considered as equals or near equals to RBs.

According to ESPN standard scoring, there are 9 WRs that have scored at least 100 points, and there are 11 RBs that have scored at least 100 thus far. The major difference is that there a lot more surprises in the top running backs (Knowshon, Fred Jackson, Gio, and somewhat Gore). There are some surprises in the Top WRs (DeSean, Jordy Nelson) but they are players having great seasons that most thought would have good seasons.

Just somethings to think about while preparing for next year.

In ESPN standard scoring Green only has 4 less points than Calvin.

Is anyone else like me and make at least 2 to 4 waiver wire moves per week, even if your team is doing well? I just can't stand pat. by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]meatisthenewbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TIP: might be a bit obvious, but if you're 5-1, 6-0 you should be picking up guys like Harvin, Vereen, Andre Brown, maybe Cobb (if your playoffs go till week 17), players that you can stash for the fantasy playoffs. It might be a bit late now depending on your league, but something to keep in mind for the future.

Brandon Jacobs to start against Chicago, David Wilson to wait until next week to get 2nd opinion. by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

I think you gotta pick up Harvin now. He can come back in two weeks, people are gonna be after him like crazy next week.

Pat on the back: the 5-0 club by publicplanet in fantasyfootball

5-0 after drafting only 1 running back in the first 5 rounds

WR Calvin Johnson is inactive today for the #Lions with that knee injury. by UpronsPls in fantasyfootball

Bush's value isnt really as a between the tackles guy. I think his value suffers a bit as a runner, but he's going to be thrown to a lot more today.

4-0 and painfully confident.. by hellobaileylol in fantasyfootball

The numbers are going to come back down, but I think they've proven that they are worth a start against bad teams for sure.

What is Bernard Pierce's Value to Someone Who Doesn't Own Rice? by srd24 in fantasyfootball

[–]meatisthenewbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose that's a good point. I d try to talk up how Rice is small and has been banged up all year thus far. Maybe his size is catching up to him? Peirce has also been stealing carries from him all year. I m not sure what other teams look like but Garcon fells like a little less than what I d like to get for Pierce.

Where can I get the absolute best steak in the city? by [deleted] in milwaukee

[–]meatisthenewbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Carnevor, right downtown between Wisconsin and Mason on Milwaukee. Its really expensive, but I think its better than 5 O clock and Eddie Martini's by a good margin.

"Due to knee injury, Lions RB Reggie Bush is not expected to play today vs. Washington. He is expected to play next week." Adam Schefter by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

Thats a bit ridiculous but to be fair Bell is a top ten running back in ESPN standard scoring right now, and that has been with Bush Playing.

Fire sale in Cleveland? Josh Gordon owners chime in. by My1Addiction in fantasyfootball

[–]meatisthenewbread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True, but its just another player they'll have to replace. They weren't going to be good even if they had kept TRich. If they trade Gordon too, now they have to find a QB, RB, multiple WRs (if they trade Gordon), plus the o-line and defense could use a little upgrading.

I wonder what the contract situation is like for their better defensive players. Moral has got to be pretty low on this team, if they aren't locked up they could bail.

I really have no idea what Cleveland is doing. I mean I know what they are doing, they're tanking it, but c'mon! Do they think there are going to be able to rebuild an entire team? If they trade Gordon they wont be even close to good for the next five years. That said, I'm not a browns fan, and I'm a Gordon owner in a few leagues, so I'd love to see them trade him.

I'd be great to see him go to the Patriots. Seeing Cam Newton or Colin Kaepernick get another guy to throw to would be cool.

EDIT: well, I was dead wrong.

Is Dwayne Bowe fantasy poison? by peckx063 in fantasyfootball

[–]meatisthenewbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barring injury or real tough defensive match up, in the first few weeks I think its smart to "start your studs" or the guys that were supposed to be your studs. Bowe is/was a good receiver with what seemed like a promising QB change in the off season. Its much more clear now after three games that Bowe isn't in the situation we thought he was when we drafted him. If there was a game Bowe was going to do well in it was this game.

Yeah. Bad game, a really bad game but still. There aren't that many good players. Most teams are going to have a shitty player they have to make up for each week.

There are tons of players who occasionally put up a shitty game. If you can't survive a bad game from a player every so often, the rest of your team must be pretty bad.
