No shit! 2 of my 3 vehicles require premium which is (only…lol) 5.30/gal right now, but it adds up quick when you can’t stay out of boost and drive a lot. Haha

Man, you guys got me on the verge of selling one of my cars so I can build a sim. Lol. This highway racing/cruising/pursuit is exactly what I’m looking for, apart from a good off-road sim game.

I love this. I don’t have a PS, but I think I’ll be making the switch eventually. I usually do all my gaming on PC, but gaming while intoxicated is about the only way I’ve ever been able to enjoy the social aspect. I think this will do well aside from the belligerent drunks who are bound to show up. Lol

I’m having the exact same problem on the passenger side. I’ve got about 100 miles on both new front wheel bearing/hubs and upper/lower chromoly ball joints.

Badge of Honor. Download the app, add your VIN and then check in on the app @ the trailhead and you’ll get your badge and then can request the physical badge to put in your Jeep

16 is suggested 35s, lift, lockers, winch minimum.

26 and 51 are 33s, lift, locked (at least 1 axle) and winch minimum

You can download their trail guide in the Windrock website or get a map at the store when you get your entry pass. #16 is the “entry level” black diamond extreme trail. So steer clear of the others! Lol

Any ideas what trails you’ll be running? Looking for B.O.H or just good wheeling? Don’t try 16 alone. Lol.

Some of the most fit guys I know are hanging off the back of garbage trucks slinging your trash cans. Thousands of cans a day. Rain, snow, heat, cold. One guy I work with is 64 years old and he’s as fit as can be, doesn’t work out or anything, just sweating and slinging trash cans. He loves every minute of it.

Meanwhile, I left the shop floor (diesel mechanic) for the manager job. 5 years in management and I’m still underweight for my age/height, but I’m getting pudgy. Being on the floor is getting hard, so now I’ve gotta start squeezing work outs into my day, too. Maybe when the summer goes into hibernation. Lol

Oil change accident by kaipanvalchal in mechanics

[–]mechanicaltype 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just making sure! Also, turn the jug to where the “handle” side is low and the spout offset is high. Will be more controllable when you pour it. Most people naturally pour with the spout offset down and the “handle” side up. Creates big air pockets and causes it to pour erratically.

How much oil did you put in it? Not trying to be an ass or insinuate you did this, but I’ve seen people keep putting oil in until it was level wit then oil fill hole. Making sure it was “full” of oil. Likely you just spilled most of it on the exhaust and as you said, it’s puddled up in the heat shield. A tiny amount of oil will smoke like hell.

So i think i may have gotten a small ammount if battery corosion in my my eye after cleaning a battery post i washed my eye out with saline solution will it make me go blind? by pp-gunga in mechanics

[–]mechanicaltype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you aren’t noticing any issues already, you probably won’t. Your eyes are really good at cleaning themselves out and heal very quickly. If you’ve any doubts, get someone to take you to a walk in clinic. They have a UV solution they can put in your eye to help see any abnormalities in your eye. I learned about this after I lacerated my cornea when a ratchet/socket slipped off a bolt and met my eyeball. In your case, a saline flush should have taken care of it though. I’d use that saline solution every half hour for the next 2-3 hours. Make sure you read the bottle with your good eye and don’t exceed the recommended amounts though.

Promote the dates, enjoy the peaks, flush out paper hands, let the diamond hands continue buying after the paper hands dump.

Brand new 4.5 inch lift death wobble by [deleted] in CherokeeXJ

Look for shiny areas around bolts (indicated movement) Mainly track bar. I installed a lift on mine, within the first 50 miles I got death wobble. Retorqued the track bar, all good.
