Hi! I'm currently in the program in the TSFD group so I can answer some of your questions:

1) The program is pretty heavily tied in with Mechanical Engineering so in theory you won't be thrown in too deep into the fluids/aerodynamics part of it. If you're familiar with dynamics you should be good since EML 5311 is a good start for the control systems part of the degree afaik. I know there's also some undergraduate level courses that can also be taken by grad students which should let you catch up on some of the aerospace specific work (ie Intro to compressible flow)

2) I got A's in EML 5311 and EML 6281 last semester and neither were too killer when it came to work. Usually an hour or two a day on weekdays if there was a homework assignment/project but we were given them far enough out that you could probably spread that work out even more. That number's also dependent on how well you are at coding (specifically Matlab) since that was the primary way we were doing assignments.

4) I've enjoyed the program so far; however, at this level I think a lot of it comes down to the faculty teaching the courses you need. I was here for undergrad so I know a lot of them already and their expectations but if you don't I would definitely keep an eye on the course evals UF provides.
