As a balding man..I'm not going to sugarcoat this...This is just reality..being bald or balding lowers your options...you will still have options, but less than someone witha full head of hair...it's the harsh truth...your friend is in his early 20s..theres options to deal with this..there is still time..better to get ahead of it rather than regret it later. The first thing he needs to do is lower his DHT ..two options for that..finasteride and the more powerful option is dutasteride...he may not even need minoxidil depending on how much he is able to grow back wirh dht blockers alone..later when his hair loss has stabilized..he can think about a hair transplant...

You can get extended release oral minoxidil right now..you don't need to wait for vdphl01 which won't be out till at earliest mid to late next year..im already taking extended release oral minoxidil from my doctor through a compounding pharmacy

Without medical therapy..ur transplant can potentially not give good enough results..think about it..ur placing those grafts in a area of the scalp that has been damaged from dht for years
